My girlfriend reserved this restaurant in order to celebrate my birthday. We've selected two different menus, a shorter menu 'de la memoria' and a more complete menu 'Passeig per Catalunya'. The menus had different amount of dishes so they directly informed us that there would be breaks in between for the person that would be taking the shorter menu. We are experienced foodies, so we share everything in order to try all the flavors and products... no problem here...
The food was in general good, tasty and well-seasoned. Unfortunately we cannot say the same about both rice... The rice dishes were REALLY salty... We've informed the owners who explained it was because that couldn't prepare each type of rice just for one person... In my opinion if they couldn't prepare a rice for just a person and in a table of two each person requests a different menu, they should advise to make just a type of rice for both people. We would definitely prefer to have the same type of rice instead of two types of rice and both salty...
At the end they surprised me with a birthday candle in my dessert what was a nice detail.
Something we didn't understand was the 'pa i entreteniments' charged in the bill, basically was bread and a small fuet sausage, 10Eur for a bread and a fuet that we didn't order. Ok, it's not a problem... when you pay 200Eur, 10Eur more, 10Eur less but they should ask if we wanted that.
Globally, the service went smoothly and the staff was nice, we just did not enjoy the attitude when we informed about the rice issues and that no attention was made because of that...

Friendly restaurant with a nice patio Seating.
We took the lunch menu at around 15 euros with gaspacho, paella, dessert and wine.
The gaspacho and the fish paella were good, but the seafood paella had no flavour.. rather disappointing. Desserts were good. Pity about the very average paella..

This is a beautiful and well run eatery where the company I work for in Vic takes their staff for lunch.
Never had a bad experience here and the set linchtime menu has something for all.
On this visit..a Thursday...there is paella and a starter of a bowl of mussels. Its all beautiful. The paella is typical of the Catalan region and so is dark in colour rather than the saffron coloured dish you get as you head to Valencia.
My only gripe is it was warm and not hot but they are catering for a full house and even warm or cold, this dish would be beautiful.

They need to try more! They have a lot of potential to be good but they really need to pay attention in some staff! The service average and the food like every restaurant. Nothing special!Dear customer, We appreciate your feedback and we'll take care of it from now. Sorry about not having complied expectations. We work very hard every day to improve our service. Again, thank's for your comments.

We'd heard about this place from a friend, then stumbled upon it just walking around near the main Plaza. And it's now probably my favourite restaurant of the moment!
I'd describe the food as innovative Catalán. Lots of wonderfully good, local seasonal ingredients. At lunchtime we had their great value set lunch: black pasta with seafood and grilled asparagus with goat cheese & Serrano ham, then a superb dish of octopus & monkfish on creamed potato and perfectly grilled baby lamb chops with a chickpea salad. Sorbet & mascarpone with fresh fruits were desserts. Including a generous glass of very good wine it was only €17:50pp
We enjoyed it so much we went back in the evening with another couple, this time on their charming Terrace. This time we went a la carte & hardly any dish was more than €15, & all of stunning quality.
For food, service and ambience its a real find.

If you plan to visit this establishment based on its good Tripadvisor ratings, check the comments in detail first. We made the mistake not to. Seemed that high rated comments were about the coffee being nice etc.
Basically: it's a bar that serves food as well. As tourists, expecting to have a nice dinner, we didn't like it at all. Dirty plates.
Staff was very friendly though.

Daily menu and tapas. International cooking, craft, local and organic products.
We had really good time eating dinner at this little and kind of hidden restaurant. We tasted couple of tapas, some of them inspired by internatinal cousine, some of them traditional.
My favorit dish was cod carpacio, really nice.
For dessert just coffee and some chocolate truffels with different spiceing.
Very recommendable!

After Reading the reviews, we booked a table for a lunchtime menu. The menu was 19 euros. Had salmon salad to start - iceberg lettuce and soggy tomato meant that it was nothing special, sepia and prawn stew for seconds which wasn't bad. The best dish was pig's cheek and the puddings were typical predictable Catalan favourites.
Service was great. Wouldn't go back though.
