The entrance is a bit unpreposessing, but it hides a lovely German/Mallorcan restaurant - a real gem! We went on a really hot and steamy night, but despite the humidity the food more than hit the spot, the portions were most generous and there was an eclectic selection of gin as aperitif to start the meal off. The really high standard of food was matched by the very attentive waiting staff, who rectified an error with an order in a most professional manner. The wine list was extensive and there seemed to be something, both food and drink, to meet every taste.

The restaurant is nestled in a scenic environment close to Duesseldorf, Wuppertal and some cities of the Ruhr District. The accessibility is good and if you think you cannot get there fast enough, don't worry, the restaurant has got its own helicopter landing patch.
Recently the chef (Sascha Stemberg) got a well deserved Michelin star. He prepares each dish with care and imagination using fresh local produce. Quality, freshness and a lightness in cooking sets "Haus Stemberg" apart from many competitors. Dining there is certainly a memorable experience.
The service a very attentive and unobtrusive. The restaurant offers upscale cuisine and reasonable prices.
Be sure to make a reservation well in advance, because the restaurant is very popular and it has many regular customers.

The Kleine Schweiz is really a pleasant location with good food. Great starting point for a wonderful walk through the forest nearby and the regreening area of the closest mining area. Service has been professional and pro-active. Big parking area available in front of the restaurant - most likely wonderful place for romantic summer nights.

Optisch in der Zeit stehen geblieben (50er, 60er Kahre Stil), aber beinahe schon wieder Retro.
Was jedoch zählt ist die Qualität der Torten und die Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter/Innen und die ist qualitativ über Jahre hoch.
Und dann gibt es dort noch eine Schokoladen-Marzipan-Spezialität, den "Velberter Schrott". Einfach hingehen und sich überraschen lassen.

Have eaten for the second time over their. Got a nice steak with french fries and salad. The food is good and tasty how ever the resturant was too crowded for my opinion ( monday night). Cost is ok. And there is free parking for the resturant.

Had dinner at the Villa Au on 30th October, great place, tons of atmosphere, original fittings everywhere. Had Mussels to start, divine, steak for main, perfect. By the way, if you smoke (like me) you can in the bar at the front, fabulous.

Not been to a Yugoslavian restaurant before but this place was great. Enormous menu with steak dishes from across the globe. Extensive beer menu was a bonus. Service very prompt and nicexrelaxed atmosphere.

You find a real and nice Italian restaurant in Velbert. The styling is modern and cool. The atmosphere is very nice and the service is caring and paying attention. The food Fish and steak was really good. Good choice and nothing to complain about.
