Ya, it's a little off the highway, but take the off-ramp to Vegreville and stop at Albert's for breakfast. Lots of parking, great food and lots of it, decent price, fast and friendly service.
It's just a nice break rather than fuss with breakfast at home or in the city. It's an easy in and a easy out as far as the Yellowhead is concerned. These small towns also need a little business, so what the heck!

If you are getting just ice cream expect it to take 15-20 min's. If you actually want to eat food, we'll expect to be a while. I know someone who worked there and she said EVERYTHING is microwaved before serving too. Why? I've seen employees drop my blizzard toppings on a dirty cloth and then dump the cloth into the blizzard cup to make the blizzard. And I was visibly pregnant. Not the kind of toppings I was expecting.

Dropped in for a business lunch. Ordered cheeseburgers, fries, and coffee. The fires were hot. The burger at $16 was a big disappointment. Alberta restaurants need to get away from ordering pre-made burger patties from a commercial supplier. You get the same dull "it could be meat" taste. What a disappointment. I'd like this place to get better and a house-made pattie would go a long way to having taste meet price. Service was very good.

The food was good but what we paid for it wasn't to big. The cheese on the pizza upset stomachs, maybe it was a bit to strong not sure. The staff was very friendly and quick with taking and getting our order.

Our first time. Stopped on a whim. Nice family type place. Nice change from the chain restaurants. Good food. Good portion sizes. Great server. I had the fish and chipsThe pies are home made. I know people either love or hate rhubarb. This was great! Reminded me of my mothers when I was small. We will be back.

We are proud to serve our clientele in either English, French or Spanish languages. We offer a large variety of homemade meals (mashed potatoes, fresh vegetables, homemade batter for Fish & Chips, burger patties), a "Kids Corner" section as well as a "Senior Portions" section. We have been told by our repeat customers as well as by the travellers that the size of our portions are adequate and that our prices are very reasonable. We are located on Highway 16-A, therefore easily accessible. We should also mention that we are a family owned and operated establishment. If you are looking for a different atmosphere with flowers, candles and tablecloths, come and see us. We will be more than happy to serve you.
This restaurant is in a renovated house on the old hiway and the large "restaurant" sign on the patio caught my eye so I pulled in even though I had my sites set on a different place. I came in for lunch just after noon...MoreThank you for your pleasant review. As a matter of fact, our soups are made from scratch and on a daily basis; that is why we have only one soup per day. Please stop by and order our egg salad sandwich; you should enjoy it.

My husband and I love the pour house for lunch. Their daily soup/salad and Sandwich special is always delish, with the best homemade soups!! Really, really good. They offer two kinds of soup daily, as well as a number of Sandwich panini's, wraps, salads, often quiche. Not to mention the cafe items (sorry I'm not a coffee drinker)
My only negative is that they aren't open enough. Def recommend.

Lots of staff members working today at this location means quick service and mainly clean tables. Seems to be a meeting place for the locals.

A lovely place to stop in for a hot cup of tea and delicious scone (Karen's homemade apricot butter is to die for), browse around, pick up a special little gift or just treat yourself to a new treasure! Very friendly couple, Karen and Gary will make you feel like a long lost friend.
