The worst service in a restaurant that we have ever been to. Staff obviously untrained. Would deliver one dish at a time while we had to ask for the next dishes to be served, one by one. A waitress chewing gum, would drift past us with one plate in her hand. Had to clear the table ourselves while waiting for next plate to arrive. Finally had to hurry them up by telling them that we had a plane to catch. Never again - an embarrassment to our guests.

Had dinner tonight at this restaurant which we have visited a number of times over the past 5 years or more. The food is generous in serves and consistent. This is not fine dining but home style cooking. Service staff are always friendly and efficient. You can get pizzas, pasta, a few Asian style meals (which I haven't tried) as well as burgers, steak, salads and favorites such as parmigiana. Fully licensed with wine available by the glass. Prices are fair for the generous size of the meals and no trouble to package and take what you can't eat home. If we can't decide what to eat this is a place that will have something to satisfy us.

A colleague put me onto this restaurant and it was great.
The entree was to die for. Cannot remember the exact name, but it was a shaved meat/charcuterie dish with buffalo cheese and Parmesan cheese. That was absolutely enough for me and 2 other of my table as it was magnificent!
But then onto the mains....
The Dry aged beef was incredible. My cut was rib eye on the bone 'rare' and it was incredible. Cooked to perfection.
I didn't have dessert, but of the 5 of us, 4 did. Three had Tiramisu and wait for it - they bring out the biggest bowl of all time and give the biggest piece possible.
All said it was amazing.
Total cost with entrees, main meal and 4 (of 5) desserts was incredibly reasonable for the quality of food and 3 bottles of wine.
Not for kids at all and was very surprised they did not cater at all for vegetarians.
Definitely will go again.

Finally, somewhere good to eat at the airport. The "reserved seats" are for anyone ordering meals. Clean, comfortable, relaxed and friendly, with great food (amd drinks of course). The guiness pie was excellent with good pastry, chunky meat cooked to perfection, and wonderful taste. Nice selection of wines (and beers). I finished off with a wonderful Irish coffee (they really know how to make it properly). No desserts however.

Visited for a family celebration meal on a Friday night, we have been before because it had good food, plenty to choose from and arrived well presented.
This time however, by the time the last dish was served, others had finished theirs, probably 20 minutes later.
All it would have taken was a short apology or an alert, "I'm sorry, the duck will take a little longer", but nothing was said or done to give us a courteous heads-up.

It is some time since I visited Friends of Mine, as usual the coffee was excellent and the service was attentive. The menu, however, was a trifle pedestrian and needs a revamp. The smoothies are great. Customers are likely to appreciate some innovation, especially in the mainly egg-based breakfast menu. The daily specials are interesting. I'll certainly be returning to this welcome component of the Keilor Road Coffee Conurbation.

My whole family enjoyed their dinner there and the breakfast was also excellent. I was really impressed with the wait staff. We had a terrific waiter for dinner. Then for breakfast (we had the free buffet included with our room), I wanted to bring food up to my room for my wife and daughter. The host offered to have a tray brought up to them and when I said I could do it myself, he brought me a lid to cover the plate to make it easier to transport.

Hey Jude has been open for more than four years, practically an eternity on the ever-changing Keilor Road Coffee Strip. Hey Jude is always busy, a good sign for a cafe in this competitive area. The food is good, as is the coffee. Service is efficient. Hey Jude also has a bar, you can have wine or beer with your meal if you feel so inclined.

I have positively reviewed this restaurant under our stay at Quality Inn Melbourne Airport Hotel. However, I have to say that the images on this website look nothing like the reality. No tablecloths, no napkins.... They leave themselves open to claims of misrepresentation with such images. There really is no need for this, because we were very pleased with our meal, but would have been disappointed if we had seen these photos beforehand.
