I found ristorante Arca listed in the guide book L'Espresso with a very high rating and decided to check it out. The restaurant is located in the center of Alba Adriatica on the main street which ends on the Lungo Mare and shares a mid block location with an enoteca of the same name. Massimiliano, the chef and his brother run a tight ship with both a seafood and "terra" menu. My 3 friends all tried the seafood and were blown away by the Brodetto and the baccala' while I spoiled myself with a thinly sliced elegant pork dish with "Patanegra" pork from the Jamon Iberico region of Spain. I have never seen this in another restaurant in Italy, although I am sure you might find it in a starred restaurant in Milan, Rome of Florence. The service was impeccable with the chef taking everyone's orders and answering questions or advising you on choices which will delight your palate. His brother is at the ready with a nicely selected wine list with options from around the world, but the majority from the neighboring Abruzzo vineyards. Fresh breads arrive at the table with the amuse bouche and the tranquil, simple, but elegant ambience help make for a wonderful evening!

E' un locale tipico, a conduzione familiare, che offre piatti genuini e caserecci della tradizione abruzzese. We ate a few times there. Food was good but you are treat like a moneymaker. When you just finished your plate they come in for the dolce and imediately after that with the bill. 45 minutes dinner, 90 Euro and no time to enjoy your lunch. You're just a number in line to make money. The food was average, great place, and service 0/10. No time toy enjoy, just time to let you feel that you're the nextr number in line !!!!!!

Unassuming from the street side, we found the most stunning views over the surrounding countryside once inside. It quickly became apparent that our table in the window was far too hot from the sun, but we were swiftly moved to another table by our friendly waiter. We ordered the olives all'ascolana (stuffed and deep fried) and melon with Prosciutto, followed by Timballo, a speciality of Abruzzo similar to Lasagne but with layers of thin pancakes instead of pasta. All delicious. A lady dining nearby insisted that we finish her bottle of red wine with our Timballo - a fabulous Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Inferi. It was such a lovely gesture and made our lunch perfect.

Staying in this hotel I chose to also eat here. As the restaurant was full, as it looked, of local people it was just a good sign to stay and try. And this was definitely a good decision as this restaurant really worths trying. However it´s quite dangerous to finish overeaten as everything is very tasty. If you then take in account that they have a very reasonably priced complete menus with more courses, it´s probable you eat here too much as it happened to me. What is amazing it´s their pizza. Maybe only in Naples I have eaten a better one, it was really good.
The environment is very likeable, the staff is fast, efficient and smiling.

we had excellent lamb skewers "arrosticini", very small and juicy, cooked on coal with just salt and pepper, but the taste was incredible. We had some other stuff, as fried cheese, some very good salty little donuts that served as bread, a bottle of wine, and dessert and Limoncello and total was only 90 eur/4 person. Restaurant was also very nice decorated.

After visiting several restaurants in the area, we think Al Faro is the best Option in Tortoreto. The Restaurant is a Little bit hidden and it was not so easy to find. From outside it looks not so promising, also there is no tarrace to sit outside. The strong side of Il Faro is the quality of the food and the italian charm of the location. Italy like we love it!

I had the good fortune of discovering this restaurant when visiting the coast on holiday. It is set a little back from the main strip, but please make the trip you will be treated to the creations of a multi award winning master. For me the setting and service was excellent, a great atmosphere and the creations that came from the kitchen just made the whole evening perfect. Treat yourself to a great local restaurant with great local food and atmosphere that is most excellent.

Steakhouse with local ingredients this is informal place and the food is unbelievable .we got all the ingredients from the local farm that no use sophisticated stuff but they produce in natural way. When you try this products you can understand the difference of flavor .we have a selection of salumi and cheese, many other appetizers , filet mignon tartare,carpaccio, fried olives , bruschette, and than you can choose a different kind of pasta , and obviously a different cuts of meat..
So I came to this tiny braceria thinking that it was going to be one of those secret places that are secretly amazing, and I was right. Coming from oxford, UN, it was quite clear that I would need someone who could comprehend my order. Luckily, one of the waiters worked in london and was able to get my order and bring me everything i needed efficiently. The meat was absolutely incredible, buttery, with a side of roast potatoes which were absolutely delicious. I recommend this place to anybody, 100%!
