In the old post of fine in the Townsite at Powell River this micro brewery is the best I have visited. Beware of Belgium Triple 9pc but smooth as silk. Take your Growler.Thank you so very much for stopping in! We try to have at least one of our Belgian beers always on tap - and why wouldn't we? Our brewing engineer is from Belgium!

Beautiful scenery during 13 kms bike ride around the lake. Easy trail with low gradient and fun Bridges that cross frog ponds. Lots of spots to stop and swim or have lunch on the picnic benches. Wheelchair accessible and excellent all level walking trail also. A hidden gem in Powell River only 10 kms from town. Don't miss out!

Since moving to Powell River, we have enjoyed going to the Farmers' Market on weekends throughout the summer months. There is a wide variety of cooked foods, pastries and breads. As well you can find several vendors selling local crafts. For those with green thumbs you can purchase garden plants as well. Herbs, spices and healing balms can also be acquired. There is an area for the little kids and the bigger little kids to have a train ride, and you can also hear local talent perform at the open mike. It's all relaxed and friendly. Check it out!

Been totally new to Powell River area we needed some guidance and we got it at this wonderful place. They have detailed maps, free internet, list of local hotels/motels, etc.
But the main thing, they have very helpful guide who provided lots of assistance in finding places to visit, hotel to stay, etc.

This small museum was full of interesting photos, maps and books depicting the history of the area. The hostess was very helpful and knowledgeable.

The Copeland Islands, known locally as the Ragged Islands, are best known as a place to stop after crossing the Straight of Georgia on the way to Desolation Sound, and that's certainly useful, but they are worth a visit on their own merits. Several small coves, with great holding and good protection. The east side has more traffic, but not at night, when you want to sleep. The west side is more open to weather, and you want lots of scope. In either case, in the high season, plan to stern tie, even if you are the first in. Otherwise you'll have to do it later, or see later boaters scowl at you. Lots of trees for a stern tie. Warm water.

I'd been here years ago and remembered the view as being good to see the mill, but I forgot about the hulks. An interesting bit of history tucked away pretty much in the middle of nowhere. Interesting to see now, must have ben an amazing site when it was in full swing with all the logs and water traffic
