Worth every visit! At any weather circumstance this place is awesome. Everywhere is green, even if you look to the sky, you ll see green. The trees are enormous. The water flowing, even between trees, makes a relaxing sound. And you can have great views from the Bridges and get some very professional photos in so many areas in the same place. Ducks, gooses, doves, dogs and other animals and many insects are included in this special environment.

You may visit us form Monday to Sunday 10:00-18:00. Making a phone call prior to your visit, would be desirable. Our winery is open year round to visitors who wish to enjoy a tour of our facilities, as well as a tasting of Dalamara wines. From October to November visitors will also see the function of the traditional distillery. Dalamara winery (est. 1840) is located on the regional road, just 1km before entering the town of Naoussa. All of our wines are organically grown within the PDO zone of Naoussa - in Vados, Paliokalias and Gastra - with a focus in the local variety Xinomavro.
Domaine Dalamara is a family winery dedicated in producing authentic wines with a true and genuine character, while continuing the tradition of Naoussa, a leading Greek wine region. Kostis Dalamaras is a young winemaker, extremely passionate with what he's doing and dedicated to working hard...MoreThank you for your review and for all your kind words! Hope to see you again here soon! Cheers!

We were thrilled to be able to visit this tomb which is still under restoration. The caretaker at the Gardens of Aristotle arranged it and we were very lucky to get in. The great thing was that whereas at Vergina you can only see the outside of the tomb, since this is being restored, you can see the two inner chambers. The external part is magnificent with its ionic columns and decorated wings, the walls of the inner chambers are decorated (Sorry there is no space here for fotos!). A really thrilling surprise.

Most influential according to several lists of the great. This place is out of the way, overgrown with exuberant volunteer vegetation, dripping with sweet water, has fences which only indicate the suggested path and do not bear leaning upon or sitting upon. Once a small two year college run by Aristotle for the benefit of the new princes of which one was Alexander, yet to become great. Poppies, Carpathian walnuts, birds, turtles, pollenating insects and real ancient caves once dormitories for the elite. Don't go alone as a companion will keep you from loosing the present. Dreamy with neglect. Small path should be followed. Art, Science, Politics, Ethics...

Gorgeous view, huge overwhelming church. Going up the mountain to reach the church though is a bit hard, quite narrow and with many turns. Once you reach the church though you are more than rewarded both by the view an the church itself.

During our 2-week visit to Greece, our visit to the Nymphaeum (also spelled Nymfaion) of Mieza stands out as one of the most inspiring moments. While the modern cultural centre and museum located across the street from the Nymphaeum was not open when we visited, the Nymphaeum itself was. There is no charge to visit and no barrier to access. There is a large paved parking lot next to it.
An informative plaque at the entrance describes in Greek and English the incredible significance of this site, where Aristotle tutored Alexander the Great and other nobles of the Macedonian Empire. This and other plaques at the site have maps showing the locations of the structures of Aristotle's school. All that remains 2 millennia later are the ruins of massive columns, and caves that were integrated into the complex. There is still a quiet brook fed by natural Springs under the trees, just as in Aristotle's day. One can almost picture the cavorting of the mythical nymphs after which the site is named! Aristotle considered nature, culture and education inseparable, and a more perfect location for his school would be hard to imagine.
To stand on this site and know that it is the very same ground walked by these giants of Western civilization was an almost mystical experience. Nobody visiting the area should miss visiting this attraction.

I was there on a damp day, but this pleasant park seemed a lively place with the young people after school let out. Shady with a walks along the street, or among flower beds and ponds. A long "cliffside" walk with benches and a view.
Very close to many, many restaurants of different types, as well as snack shops. Monuments. A small open air theater.
