First and foremost, don't expect this to be a very large sanctuary. This one is a medium sized lake (not more than the combined size of 3-4 football fields) with a walkway on one side. Inside the lake there are small Islands of trees on which scores of migratory birds perch and nest. The lake itself was originally a part of a fresh water tank for the village until it was taken over by the Forest department.
Having said that, the experience of watching a wide range of exotic migratory birds like pelicans, flamingos, painted storks etc is an awesome experience. There is raised platform along the walkway from where you can get a vintage view of the lake and the birds in action. More than often a big bird or two fly close by when you can experience them in close range. Depending on the time of the year, one can find birds from Siberia, Sri Lanka, Malaysia etc
Don't expect any facilities over there but the birds more than make up for the lack of it.
Getting to this place is also easy as it is located just 2 km on a side road from the Vijayawada - Guntur highway and it is also less than 10-15 km away from Guntur city.
I would recommend this place as a must visit for bird lovers and kids. I have visited this place in winter and there the birds were plentiful. However, I am not sure what would be the case in peak summer.

Located right on the banks of the river Krishna, the idol of the Buddha is huge. Visited on a Saturday morning, it wasn't very crowded. If you're a peace seeker, this is one of the places to be!

This is a nicely built like any other Isckon temple. When we went there it was very peaceful with people chanting 'Hare Rama Hare Krishna'. It is located near A.T.Agraharam in Malla Reddy Nagar (near Mahatma Gandhi College). There is a museum and shop in the complex.

First time i visited in 2006 -There were no roads that time, I had an trekking encounter to Kondaveedu fort way back 5 years back with 20 people group, that was a nice adventurous trip, we reached by bikes there by 8 am and trekked to hill top by noon,
But recent time there were many development s and ghat road is also sanctioned and made recently, It is must to see for locals and outsiders becoz of lack of tourist places near by. you can plan with kids too, Have a plan for a day long enjoy the archeological buildings and their historical back ground. Try to hire a guide to understand real story behind.

Life is wild ride, and like a roaring rollercoaster, full of twists and turns and ups and downs. And life like an amusement park ride, always eventually comes to a grinding halt. Speedway7 is a new age Adrenaline park in the capital city of Andhra Pradesh. Gone are the days when you needed to travel abroad to experience the thrill of an amusement park. All that adrenaline is right here in the name
It is located near the highway, close to Chetana school. There is an entry ticket ( 100 Rs ) ,if you want to see this. The attractions are Go-carting,off roading and VR experience. There is a combo ticket ( 800 Rs,for which you get 1 round of Go-carting,off roading and VR experience). It's a bit expensive and the Go-carting track could have been bigger. The VR games and experience is a waste in my opinion.Off roading is good,if you want to drive you have to pay extra 200 Rs,along with the original price of 300 Rs.It's good for a one time experience.Overall,it's a unique ( for Go-carting you have to go to Vijayawada previously ) and good place to spend time with family on holidays, albeit occassionally.
