Long established restaurant managed by husband & wife team ,Stanley & Maria ,offering seasonal local produce in a relaxed & informal setting with a menu choice to suit all.
The food served here is top quality and local produce also. We had the early bird menu which was good value at 2 courses for £18:50 or 3 for £21. My cod thermidor was so beautifully cooked and tasty. My friend's sirloin steak was outstanding. Tina our waitress was very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The lady who owns the restaurant is quietly efficient and her husband, the chef deserves all the compliments he gets. Anytime we are in Limavady a visit to the Lime Tree is a must and always a pleasure!

Booked Xmas lunch. Arrived around 1pm to be told ‘sorry, it doesn’t start to 4pm??’ We ordered from the normal coach house menu. After 10 mins or so, two other diners arrived in, looking the same Xmas lunch as ourselves, and after a female member of staff, with long black hair, whom I assume was a so called ‘manager’ or similar spoke to them, they were all of a sudden served a Xmas lunch, despite it not being served until 4pm! It seems they have one menu for ‘regular customers’ and another menu for ‘everyone else’. I would like to know as to why we were informed of this information, yet the Xmas lunch menu was available to ‘certain people’.....maybe we didn’t make a big enough ‘fuss’ about the whole thing.

I wandered into The Arcade Bar in Dungiven for a couple of pints after photographing Dungiven Castle and met some of the nicest lads that I came to know during my tour of Northern Ireland. We had an interesting political discussion on the 2014 referendum in Scotland also of and the possibility of eventual reunification of Ireland, and it was with great difficulty that I had to make my departure when I did. The Arcade Bar is a typically fine little Irish pub for anyone who might find themself in Dungiven in need of a pint or two. Or three..........

I tried the home made apple tart and the scones too. Both were very good as was the coffee. The cafe is in the main street and seems very popular. The staff are warm and friendly.

Established in 1858, the Ponderosa is a site where history echoes and beauty flourishes and in 2014 a new chapter began seeing the entire building being transformed into an elegant restaurant and bar with a convenient store adjacent. The old building structure is still intact but now is home to a quality restaurant featuring fresh seafood, savoury steaks and favourite local dishes served with a special flavour of the area. Patrons can also enjoy speciality drinks and cordials in the 'Ponderosa Bar' where live entertainment is provided every weekend. The owners and staff strive to make your visit to Ireland's Highest Bar and Restaurant an unforgettable experience providing outstanding food in a familiar and casual atmosphere. You'll find the charm of the Irish in every visit and always feel welcome!
We have been to the Ponderosa a few times and have always found the staff to be very friendly, professional and very considerate. We stopped in on Friday afternoon and had a very delicious meal which arrived very quickly to our table. I had a starter of mushrooms - delicious and superbly presented and both our fish dishes were second to none! A really fine meal in very delightful surroundings. Thanks to the staff for a very enjoyable meal!

Called in to this newly opened café in Dungiven for a light Friday lunch. My companion and I both plumped for one of the specials; roast beef ciabatta with onions and peppers. Wasn't expecting it to come with chips and although this was a tasty surprise, I'm unfortunately not the kind of person who can leave anything on their plate and so tend to prefer something smaller at lunch. Not a fault of this lovely cafes though! The roast beef was deliciously tender and tasty, seems to have been slow cooked and done so well. Friendly staff and great to have somewhere to stop for a cup of tea and sit-down in Dungiven again.

After a long hike in the Mountains 18 of us landed into Rosmars for coffee and buns. That number coming in at once can mean slow service, but not in this case. The 2 members of staff dealt with everything calmly, efficiently and quickly. Home baking, good coffee, good service, full marks Rosmars.
