We were spending a couple of nights in the hotel, and having read the reports for this restaurant, was not disappointed :
The décor was traditional, and had a homely feel to it. There were a couple of friends/family celebrations, but did not feel overcrowded at all. Very pleasant atmosphere, There was only one waitress working, who worked the tables very well indeed, and we could see that no one was in fact waiting for anything.
The food was superb, thoroughly enjoyed our evening here, and should we return to the hotel, would certainly be eating here again.

First floor restaurant in middle of Grimma. Greek based with extensive Menu. I do not speak German and had difficulty in deciphering menu (as did Google translate). Main room split into cosy, but open booths. It was quite busy for a Monday, with lots of locals. Iended up ordering Feta cheese (which was very nice) and lamb chops (which were fantastic).
Big portions came out hot Included a free aperitif and a side salad with tasty dressing.

Must admit I didn't have high hopes of getting fantastic Italian in Grimma (not sure why), but it was fantastic. Very nice atmosphere, wonderful service, great wine selection and super delish food with reasonable prices.

I visited the restaurant in the summer and booked for a large family party for a birthday in January. The service was excellent - our party arrived in three waves and there was no trouble holding the table for 12. The menu had variety but was not over stuffed, and the choice was great. I had the duck from the specials menu and the flavours were perfectly balanced and it was a joy to eat. The serving staff always made sure our party had drinks and that we were looked after. The venue is in a beautiful setting and we dined with a view of the frozen river Mulde. Would highly recommend.

Day trip to Grimma. Headed for the river and found this gem of a beer garden. Lovely cold beer on a summers day.
Great little play park for the kiddy too, but she promptly fell asleep as we sat down. Least we could enjoy the beer in peice!

We were recommend this eatery during our visit to Liptitz, Germany. It was a great find in an area with very little to offer tourists. We enjoyed the American style food; Mac'n Cheese, and a burger, washed down with delicious, homemade peach lemonade. This drink was absolutely mouthwatering in appearance and refreshing to drink. The Manager mentioned they were offering 'All You Could Eat' cake and coffee at 2:00pm so we went back to our lodgings and comeback at 3:00 pm. The pastry chef did an amazing job. The desserts weren't too sweet, they were appealing to the eye and lovely to eat. We shared the cakes, therefore trying most of them.
This is an interesting concept that the owners are trying to achieve and we wish them well. It is one heck of a project and stage one should be successful. Good luck.
