Our weekend began with a perfect getaway destination to Ganehspuri & Vrajeshwar. Planned for a day trip we reached place. Well connected roads was a perfect pleasant drive for family.
The Vajreshwari temple is a relic of Maratha glory. The temple stands atop a hillock by the road. The legend goes that Parshurama had performed a Maha yajna at Vajreshwari and the hills of volcanic ash in the area are its residue.
The temple is dedicated to goddess Vajreshwari and has many small temples. It also has an open auditorium (Rangmanch) which is a delight to see. Smaller idols of Ganesha and other gods and goddesses are carved in the pillars and walls of the forecourt.
Ganeshpuri Hot Water Spring is about 5 km away from Vajreshwari and is also famous for its natural hot Springs. The natural hot Springs of Ganeshpuri attracts visitors.
Spoke to locals to check the significance - Legend has it that Sage Vashist did a yagna to propitiate Lord Ganesh here, hence the name ‘Ganeshpuri’. However, it was Bhagwan Nityananda who transformed what was dense forestland inhabited by a few adivasis into a spiritual centre for all those seeking enlightenment.
On the way to Ganeshpuri one can see - The Gurudev Sidha Peeth established by Bhagwan's disciple Baba Muktananda is the primary reason for the large influx of foreigners to Ganeshpuri.
Hot spring water is an attraction - Three of the Springs are in the bed of the Tansa river, near the temple of Shri Bhimeshvar and they have reservoirs built round them.
One of them is called Gorakh Machhindar. Two of the hot Springs are in natural hollows in the rock.
Best part we enjoyed was hardly any signs of urban development there ..... a lot more to explore in and around.

Situated around 30 kms from the Dahisar check naka, this is a good place of a day trip from Mumbai. Many water rides which will suit all age groups, in fact you would find a lot of family groups there with kids & senior citizens also. You can go with friends as well. In fact looked like it is quite popular with people as there was a long queue at ticket counter even when you can get some good discounts when you book online. You can easily spend a day there particularly in a hot summer it will come as a great relief. The water may not be that clean though and I dont think they strictly follow the dress code as I saw many ladies going into water with jeans and cotton wear as well which should not be allowed in a water park as it can bring germs but nobody was stopping them. Also, they were opening the wave pool only for 5 mins in a gap of one hour which was too less. You will get to eat a lot of food through out the day which is inclusive in the ticket price. You get a buffet breakfast, a buffet lunch, buffet snacks, there are many counters which run through out the day like the snacks counter, gola counter and the sugar candy counter. Overall a good fun time with family and friends.

i visited this place takmak in august 2015 with a hiking group.
the level is medium to difficult depending on individual stamina and will power.
we travelled to vasai by train and got shared autorickshaw till base village.
the trekking is amazingly beautiful, its worth putting efforts to reach the top...as the view is awesome.
there are ponds on the top..drink the water, u will feel fresh.
there are canons there, and there is no big fort structure as such, but nature is at its best here.
TIPS: VISIT IN RAIN,
dont ever try to go without local guide or hiking expert groups. the route is not that simple.

Paragliding and Paramotoring training courses and joyrides are conducted by Space Apple. Exclusive kayak camping tours are organised for a day or over weekends.
It all started with a tandem flight. An amazing experience from beginning to end. Samson and his team is professional, energetic & friendly. I couldn't resist signing-up for basic course in paragliding. The tandem flights and the paragliding courses were priced fairly and were great value for money. They take flight-safety very seriously. I am not an adventurous person myself so that really matters to me. I recommend using Space Apple for paragliding but, I will definitely contact them again the next time I visit Mumbai.
Truly memorable Experience
