Well preserved enormous Kang family estate from Ming-Qing dynasty.
Big estate owned by local family since the Ming dynasty with members having served as government officials and run large business. Despite the size of the estate is huge, the buildings featured oddly small quads, corridors and rooms. The decorations are actually very humble and ordinary in comparison to more upscaled estates of the same social status in Suzhou and Wuxi.

This is a pretty nice mountain and very easy to get to from both Zhengzhou and Gongyi as its just off the bus route between the two. The cave is not bad. But I preferred the walk afterwards down in a gorge beside a river - really pretty. If you don't go in the cave, you don't need to buy a ticket.

These beautiful sculpted caves in Henan province, far less known as those of nearby Longmen, are outright stunning. Dating as far back as the Northern Wei,Tang and Song dynasties they offer you an array of classical Chinese sculpture of very high quality. Moreover, compared to Longmen, far less sculptures were demolished during the Cultural Revolution. The place is less crowded and the caves are very accessible. No doubt about it: Must see!

We set off a little late to get to this place as it was over a 3 hour drive. The place is beautiful and is not busy which makes for a real relaxing time. Do buy one of the hats from the ladies as you arrive because it gets VERY hot up the top. They are very cheap and worth every RMB. The views are very impressive and the air was clean and a pleasure to breath after a trip to Beijing. Leave plenty of time to do this trip as we left it a little late to get there. The Glass walkway was great.

Hard to find, and it is not next to Zhitian Village as someone wrote on TripAdvisor, but on G310 to the East when coming from Gongyi on Yong'An Road where you have to turn left and it is then on the left hand side about 2 km from the intersection.
