This is a Seasonal Park, you should call before visiting just to make sure we are open. Thank you! The Albergue Olimpico German Rieckehoff Sampayo or Olympic Hostel is an athletic training and recreational center located in Salinas, Puerto Rico. It is the most complete sports center in Puerto Rico used by professional athletes and by the general public for health, educational, and recreational activities. It has a territorial expansion of 1,500 acres (6.1 Km2) and has 17 sports installations. Among these: multiple use courts, baseball complex, aquatic complex, tennis complex, gyms and different sports halls. They are all used for training by the different sports federation of the Puerto Rico Olympic Committee, and the only residential, sports-focused public school in Puerto Rico, the Escuela Especializada en Deportes (ECEDAO), by individual professionals, national and international sports associations and others. The Albergue also has water parks, an aviary, a botanical garden, Playgrounds and the Puerto Rican Sports Museum. The museum houses the tomb holding the remains of legendary Puerto Rico Olympic leader German Rieckehoff Sampayo and his wife, Irma. The Albergue, which opened in 1985, hosted the Shooting competitions for the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games. There are two Conference Halls and a Sport Library that bear Rafael Pont Flores's name.
Visited with gamily on grandaughter's birthday. Group of children aged 2 and 6 caused family group to separate as some pools are for children under 3 with one adult. The other children pool only allowed our 6 yr old by himself (did not like) and the river waterfall pool again has the restriction one adult per child. Cafeteria area provides tables to use while eating but, you have to eat in a standup position as Seating is not privided. Facility has headcount restriction. Plan to be in line early as it ooens at 9am or you may not get in. Should have more changing areas. In spite of this the wave pool and kid or adult slides are great. The underground streams are fun to cool off in. Overall the park is well maintained and my family enjoyed it.

We went here for a forest hike and lunch with our family and friends. Brisk 5inuyr hike through a lush forest to a cooling pool big enough to accommodate about 50 at once. Open air gazebos, and places to grill make this a great spot to spend hours. The path is easy to follow, but there are no changing places at the pools themselves. Try the bathrooms at the head of the trail. They were locked on our trip.

Beautiful tropical and endemic plants to enjoy. The Xmas season activities were interesting and entertaining. Good activities for children to participate in.

Captain Carlos provided a wonderful day among the mangroves. As we played in the water, he prepared lunch and is a very attentive host. After lunch, we moved to another set island and continues snorkeling and kayaking. We had a great time. Captain Carlos is a native to Puerto Rico, so he was able to also answer questions we had about the island. Being we are history buffs, that was pretty cool. This was our second trip to Puerto Rico, next trip we will contact him for our water adventures.

Concierge at Marriott suggested this when I asked for somewhere different. Good grief all roads in Puerto Rico are sooooooooo curvy. This is apparently a local favorite. Nice path... pretty trees... nice creek. Then you get to a nice sized pool. Water was cold, but there was only 1 other family there. Pretty much had the place to ourselves. If you have time and want to see something different on the island, it was worth the 45 minutes of curvy driving madness.

If you happen to like museums, although it is a very small museum for it is a colonial small house, it is one of the most rich cultural experiences of local culture. Beautiful restore house in front of the most spectacular plaza. It is located in the center of the City of Guayama where you may find the impressive Catholic Church that it is so many times photograph by magazines for it's beauty.
