Fatehpur Sikri is a town in the Agra District of Uttar Pradesh, India. The city itself was founded as the capital of Mughal Empire in 1571 by Emperor Akbar, serving this role from 1571 to 1585, when Akbar abandoned it due to a campaign in Punjab and was later completely abandoned in 1610.

Like a lot of people I stopped here for lunch on the way to Fatehpur Sikri.
Nice garden Seating. Did not look at the indoor arrangements.
I avoided the buffet as I did not want a blow out.
Being vegetarian I went for the Sabzi ( spicy ) with rotis.
Came fairly swiftly & quite frankly was far too oily. I've had better in many cheaper joints & takeaways- & cooked at home. This should be a lightly cooked dish where one can enjoy the individual vegetables, not a homogenous mess of oily veg.
Menu looked nothing out of the ordinary. Avoid unless you want to pay more for average. Suspect strongly this is a commission earner for drivers.
And another thing! If there is one thing I dislike it is an unctious character hanging around the washroom passing you a paper towel & looking like a wounded spaniel when he does'nt get a tip.

We stopped here after visiting Fatepur Sikri and were the only diners but we were only offered the dingy interior of the restaurant. Step up our Tour Manager who got them to bring enough tables outside in the porch for us all to sit and dine. Loved the two gift stands in the grounds. Where were the marquees in the pictures though?? Only had a cheese toastie.
