The area is best known as the home of Keoladeo National Park, an outstanding bird refuge that is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the winter it's a stopover point for migrating birds and hundreds of species have been spotted. The best way to see the park is via bicycle rickshaw. Be sure to take binoculars and a good camera! You can get to Bharatpur from Delhi by train, bus or private car.

Bharatpur bird sanctuary is home to over 350 species of birds.
We visited the park accompanied by an excellent guide, travelling on cycle rickshaws as well as on foot. Our guide ensured we saw birds and other wildlife (such as a sleeping python and golden jackals) that we may not have spotted on our own and, also, close up through his spotting scope. But there is an abundance of birds/wildlife in this park so it is easy to also see a lot with the naked eye. The rickshaws are a godsend because the park is vast and the rickshaw canopy also allows some respite from the sun.
It is worth noting that there is a fixed price of 150 rupees (£1.60) per hour per rickshaw which, in our case - rather embarrassingly, we were unaware of. These guys are also birders and work very hard for their money.

It is an rope basis adventure park. You can do such activities like Burma bridge, zip-line, rappelling, climbing, archery etc. The best part is, it is near away 200 meters. from keoladeo bird sanctuary. The only fun place where you can spend your time after keoladeo bird sanctuary in Bharatpur.

This museum has a good collection of stone carvings with religious themes in the main gallery on the ground floor. The building itself is very attractive, and is built around a central garden courtyard with lots of well-tended greenery and Fountains. Entry costs Rs100 for foreigners.

In the midst of jungle, the temple gives a relief to the mind when you close your eyes. Extreme silent with slight chirpir of birds gives a healing touch to your mind.

For me, it was the first time I have visited any Laxman temple. This is located in the middle of market.Entrance of temple is huge but crowded.
There is not much inside the temple except then a reasonably okay courtyard.Temple seems to quite old but maintained okay inside.
Apart from the temple, its good to walk around the market end enjoy the street food. Some of the shops are unique for Samosa, Imarti and Khachodi.
Recommended for a walk down visit.

Fully guided Best value motorcycle tours in Rajasthan; have been this business for over 8 years now & have hundreds of happy & satisfied customers from more than 20 countries. Being a local operator, we use our knowledge & experience of the region to design our itineraries. Our tours offer great value for money without compromising on comfort/ safety & the accommodation provided is the highlight.
Because the owner/operator leads this motorcycle tour he has been able to fine tune the experience from feedback from previous customers and his own extensive local knowledge. This results in a good balance between riding and rest days. Also short local rides or sightseeing activities can be enjoyed on the rest days if you wish. The amazing accomodation and food enjoyed along the way was a much a feature of the trip as the riding. The Rajasthan Tour was excellent value for money and well worth doing.
