Right on the shore of Lake Tana,From the back side of Amhara national regional state bureau,In front of Amhara Development association, next to Zagol Recreational place.
A circular shaped restaurant on a small Island linked to the shore by a short dirt road. Expensive by local standards (almost double what you pay in town for similar or better food), but the location is very pleasant indeed. Cozy tables and chairs under shady trees with colorful birds and with a good view on Lake Tana.
Mosquitos often a problem in the evening.
Price indication 160 ETB average meal; 120 ETB meal with fish, 10 ETB coffee

I had a macchiato in the cafe downstairs, which had muffins on offer - not something you find everywhere in Ethiopia. I wandered a bit and then went up to the terrance and had dinner. There is a nice view of the street...not to mention no one was bothering me, as had not be the case earlier in the day.
I had a the pasta with tomato sauce, which is nothing special, but was nice just the same.

We saw this place from the veranda of the Grand Resort and were drawn to it by its peaceful setting, and proximity right on the lake. It's an easy walk to the lodge restaurant, and the place has wisely positioned MANY benches with small coffee tables in front of each clear around the peninsula. We were one of very few "ferenjis" there, but felt very welcome. Lots of habasha food, but the pizzas looked terrific! Also nice to be away from a lot of man-made glitzy structures, and just sit on a bench, enjoying something to eat or drink, and watch life on the lake. Very close to where the pelicans roost, and fishermen in reed canoes put out their fishing nets as the afternoon comes to an end. Will definitely return to this little gem on our next trip to Bahar Dar.

We got a lot of good food when we were there. The food took ages to come but when it did it was delicious. The club Sandwich was especially delicious! The place was packed every time we walked passed and were the only westerners there when we were eating. Would definitely go back!

Wude Coffee designed for serving traditional Ethiopian food and coffee for local customers And foreign tourists with cultural ambience
The atmosphere in the large garden is relaxed, but you are instantly and friendly attended by the staff, despite of other locations in Bahir Dar, where farangi first are ignored for 10 minutes. Excellent English.
Tasty food nicely dished up. Good choice from the menu. Restrained pricing.
So it's a nice place to have a small lunch or dinner. Buffet on fastening days!

We were so excited to come back to have dinner here after we caught the boat from here earlier in the day to explore the lake. The location, the place, the setup are all fantastic. We were excited to eat fish at the lake, and after being told it is very fresh, we obviously chose to have fish. It was FRIED TO DEATH- so tough, we had to struggle to get the fish off the bones, and it came with a little rice and tomato salad...so little we had to ask for more, since the fish was not at all satisfying. It's a real shame because the people were so friendly, and the place stunning, but don't go with great expectations of the food...or at least the fish!
