This is one of the best preserved fortresses of its kind, but still needs to be renovated.
Works are progressing and a part has been restored.
It is a fort used for protection against the Ottomans and tells interesting stories of some (in)famous Croatian fighting men like like Baron Trenk and his Pandurs.
I would recommend a vist of several sites in the region to put it all into context, for example the wine cellars in Ku-tjevo.

The restaurant offers traditional dishes and drinks. Also there is good wellness center. It is wonderful place to stay.
