Ancient civilization gets a tropical beach twist in Mui Ne, a resort town in southeast Vietnam. Formidable Cham towers seem to keep watch over the visitors who come here for the epic kitesurfing or to frolic along the sand dunes. Candy-colored fishing vessels bob gently in the waters of Mui Ne Harbor, where you can buy steamed seafood that’s literally fresh off the boat.

We started at the end where a local demanded $10,000 dong from myself any my boyfriend.
The walk in the shallow water and sand is nice as you go upstream, picturesque and photo worthy. However, as you try to get to the waterfall you are in thigh deep water, the more upstream you went, the more rubbish was floating around, then we saw a rat and decided to abort Mission.
Unfortunately we also saw a log of poo floating in the shallow water. I felt so disappointed and disgusted and I wanted to sterilize myself ASAP. Honestly so pretty but ruined by rubbish and faeces in the water which pretty much makes it stepping in sewage water.

A typical fishing harbour in this country where you'll cross miserable and illiterate fishermen trying to survive with a government who has let them in their condition. Don't expect the romantic tale of the free-happy workers but to receive a good lesson of everyday-life here. Come at dawn you'll have the sunset at last!

We went to the sand dunes at 5:00am on a weekday to avoid the crowd and watch the sun rise. Walked across from one hill to the next while the kids were happily sliding down the hill on their own. It was not as bad walking up the big hill (the legs need a massage at end of day). We had a great day at this beautiful attraction. Can't stand those tourists who left their trash on the sand.

This 9th century tower was built for the Cham dynasty and is distinctive in style, but in need of more restoration. This temple requires something more of an understanding, and it would certainly benefit all visitors if some more signs / literature were available, in this respect the site was a bit of a disappointment.
The temple is about 20 foot high and has orange- red brick work which it being restored

Travel from Ho Chi Minh towards Mui Be. It is a beautiful beach with fine sand and big waves. Many fun seekers are enjoying themselves with jet skiing, paragliding, water parachuting, swimming and sun tanning.
There are also vendors selling coconut water, corn, fruits, drinks, hat and etc. Some sitting in the cafe and enjoying the drink.
The long beach is really wonderful and beautiful.

Generally the Beaches are dirty and terrible. There are a couple better places to the west end. A large part of the beach has a big cement wall. There is apparently a purpose to it, however, it looks ugly and even worse it collects rubbish at high tide.
Generally there is a lot of rubbish all over the place.
To be fair I wouldn’t say the Beaches in Vietnam are not very nice. My purpose for visiting Vietnam was not for the Beaches. If my primary purpose was Beaches I would head to Thailand or Philippines instead for sure.
