Le Longanier Restaurant is located in Cai Be, on the way to Can Tho or Chau Doc. Set in a lush tropical garden by the river and surrounded by fruit plantations, Le Longanier is a gorgeous two-story villa modeled after a turn-of-the-century French colonial home, recreating the refined atmosphere of traditional Indochina. A walk around the house reveals plantation shutters, carved lanterns and vintage ceiling fans indicative of the East meets West architecture of the era. Named after the longan trees found in the garden, this quiet spot on the river showcases some of the region's products and rustic cooking styles combining fresh herbs, local fruits and vegetables and local fish.
As with most of the reviews this visit was part of our tour around the Mekong and it was a lovely surprise. The house is very attractive. Service was good and we enjoyed the food and presentation. It was very quiet and peaceful.Dear PebsDorset, Thank you for your review. We are happy to know that you had a lovely experience at Le Longanier. We hope to see you again in the Mekong Delta, especially in our restaurant. Yours sincerely, Vo Xuan Thu General Manager

We planned to stay here for three nights, but left after two. We paid $25. for a 12x12 all cement room, behind the house. It had a fan but no windows. The temp. was extremely hot and suffocating in our room. I really wouldn't consider this as a Homestay. There was no interaction with the family at all. Breakfast and supper was provided and was basic. The tour that he organized to the Cai Be market was disappointing. He ordered the local bus to pick us up to go back to HCMC and he made a huge commission on that. We were charged $160,000....should've been $70,000.
Bathroom and shower was outside, at the end of the walkway. Did not include any soaps, nor did we get clean towels or pillow cases.
It was very uncomfortable staying there.

This is an historical house in the Mekong Delta. It has the typical, traditional Vietnamese style architecture. There are elegant carvings on the walls, wooden pillars, doors and a gate. Lots of ceramics are displayed inside and the house is surrounded by a beautiful garden.

Hier arbeiten lauter lustige Frauen!

Modern western coffee style in Vinh Long included traditional tea and coffee
What a treat to find in a quite out of the way destination. Great coffee and service here at the Nhu Anh Tea & Coffee. Delicious. Wonderful pride of ownership in the folks taking care of us! Enjoy the visit.

This nice little cafe-restaurant, is really worth visiting if you are in town. They have a variety of foods including a lot of Japanese specialties. If this place was in Europe, it would have been very popular. The prices are very reasonable (cheap) and they have a very nice coconut cacao/chocolate shake, do give it a try! If we would stay more days we would definitely go back!
