Sure, it’s a bit rainy here. But a lush tropical paradise needs water—otherwise you wouldn’t see such brilliant flowers everywhere. The black-sand beaches provide contrast to the riot of color everywhere else. Nature-lovers can see many of Fiji’s indigenous species, especially in Bouma National Heritage Park (where you should also stop at Bouma Falls).

We had lunch and dinner here. The view is magnificent, the family who run this restaurant give good service. We enjoyed the fish and the pizza and the fresh lemon juice. You have to remember to book during the daytime in case it does not open that evening as we tried for a third meal but got no reply.

Great views from this delightfully friendly and welcoming restaurant just across from the sleepy airport on Taveuni island. Their delicious food is freshly prepared straight from their own garden and it is lovely to see a variety of salads on the menu. We would definitely recommend it.

This has got to be one of my favourite bakeries ever!
If you want hot fresh bread, a packed lunch or takeaway dinner. Even a birthday cake or simply something sweet to treat, matei bakery has huge variety at great prices.
My favourite is tuna roti and coconut rolls, we come to Taveuni every year and the bakery just gets better every visit.

The Salty Fox is the destination restaurant and bar at Taveuni Dive Resort. With fantastic food, great views, and wonderful open-air dining, the Salty Fox is a must-do location when you visit Taveuni.
Located by the infinity pool, this bar & grill offers delicious burgers and pizza as well as full dinners. Many locals drop by to enjoy whatever the chef has as a special that noon or evening. We were there a week and never disappointed.

A scenic setting in the midst of a pretty plantation. Maravu Plantation Cafe is wondrous spot for eating and drinking infused with culture, nature and adventure. Enjoy fresh fruits, locals flavours, cold drinks, a waterfall pool and free wifi everyday :)
They offer 4 or 5 vegetarian dishes at a reasonable price. I had a grilled vegatable salad for lunch which came with garlic bread. We waited for our lunch on the hammocks. The restaurant is very holiday like. Cant comment on the staff. Some were quite nice while othera were varelly polite. It took them an hour to return my change and only started looking i to when i was ready to leave while in the meantime they were playing ping pong or doing nothing.

Enjoy leisurely breakfasts, wood-fired pizzas, a range of lunches, and delicious dinners - all serenaded by the sounds of the ocean at Kai Time Restaurant and Bar. We use fresh local seafood and the best fresh, organic produce from the many small farmers on Taveuni Island to cook our sumptuous meals.
We ate dinner twice at Kai Time in December while visiting family on Taveuni. On both occasions our party of eight had fantastic meals and could not fault the friendly service that we received. The wood fired pizza’s were cooked to perfection and the other meals we ordered were presented beautifully and tasted as good as they looked. They make excellent cocktails and the beer is served ice cold.
The setting is marvellous, right beside the sea overlooking the Somosomo Strait, with the option to dine inside or outside. The restaurant, bar and property are spotlessly clean and very well run. Kai Time in our opinion would have to be the best restaurant open to the public on Taveuni and is definitely well worth a visit.
Kai Time is located on the same property as Aroha Taveuni that offer excellent accommodation.
