Our motel is located on Cariboo 97 hwy. offers clean 20 rooms and country style pub and restaurant that serves home made meals.
BKR and I pulled over from our trip up north; late afternoon visibility on the winter roads had become horrendous. The Cariboo Lodge was an oasis on this unpleasant journey. Let's begin with our reception: first class, friendly, and warm. The log construction decor matches the Cariboo region. Further, everything was spotless. We opted for simple menu options. The hamburger was plentiful and delicious, as was the soup. Prices are very much normal. I've eaten here several times on other occasions and, once more, was not disappointed. Quite likely, on future trips north, we'll dine here again. One minor quibble: I'm a bit of a beer snob and British Columbia is a craft brew Mecca, yet the Cariboo Lodge stocks not a single local craft beer. Too bad.

Service was fine but the food (breakfast) was so-so. The eggs seemed like they were from a carton and the sausages were shriveled like yesterdays supply, reheated! Really too bad... this location could do well if it cared enough to serve quality "home cooked" as the sign outside says. Guess the "for sale" sign on google maps says it all about the history of this location. As well the $$ were high for this quality of restaurant food. 9 bucks for 2 eggs and sausage with potatoes patties and toast. Wouldn't return.

Coffee House serving...fresh brewed drip, specialty coffees (espresso) and loose leaf teas. Proudly serving "49th Parallel" coffee beans and teas. Soft serve ice cream, shakes and sundaes ( during the warmer months) Fresh baked cookies and muffins daily
Drop in and ask David the Tom Cruise owner to sing you a song. David is awesome, friendly and serves the best lattes and coffee within many miles. Comfy seats and intimate. So when you drop in you can either play the guitar available or have David play you a tune . . . . . if you ask! Amazing place

We stopped in for breakfast to this little cafe - excellent food. They specializing in breakfast and there were 4 of us. Everyone had something different to eat - everything looked good and tasted great. A small privately owned little business that deserves your business.

Stayed @ the R.V. Park for a few days. Easy "in-out" sites for larger rigs. The park is well kept with lots of grass and small trees. Didn't use any of the facilities so can't comment on them. The "Buffet" is a hoot to attend with the owner continually on the "prowl" to bug anyone ion sight. The food is very good with the "Roadkill a must . Will definitely stay again.

We decided on this site for dinner as it received generally good reviews.
The atmosphere was great. Real country Canada. The owner, Rick was a great character and the place must rock on the weekends.
They had a new cook so we felt the food was not up to the standard that we were hoping for however the servings were huge as seems to be the case in most country canadian restaurants.
The place is worth a visit.
