A lovely short hike through the forest leading to a few campsites, a view at the top and a waterfall at the end. I have been many times. The first time I missed the waterfall. It can be a little challenging if you can't read Japanese. Take a foot towel to soak, wade, or swim the river at the end. In the hot, humid Osaka summer it is a great reward at the end. Fairly easy hike. I recommend runners.

This is an archeology museum that was built at a large burial mound that was discover to be that was an emperor. Unlike other such mounds, the site is open to the public with only part of the surrounding moat still filled with water.
The museum displays artifacts from the site and how the burial site looked before centuries of erosion and earthquakes.
It is free and good destination for kids.

This temple is located in north of Takatsuki city. I often visit there by car. It takes 30-40 minutes from Takatsuki JR station by car. There are a bus but you have to walk 30-50 minutes from nearest bus stop. It’s good hiking!
This temple is into the mountain so there are a few people every time when I visit there.
Only local people. If you want to have quiet time, it’s good place.

I visited this museum on 4 July 2014. I'm a history / museum nut and was totally absorbed. The artefacts on display tell the story that connects the other heritage listed sights such as the Emporers tombs and the oldest pottery factory in Japan. Just amazing ..... Absolutely worth a visit to them all !!!!
