Soldiers Point Marina provides the perfect hub for exploring the magnificent waterways and hinterland of Port Stephens—a region covering nearly 1,000 square kilometres of scenic diversity, mild weather and extensive tourist facilities.Totally rebuilt to world-class standards, the marina offers the boatowner a state-of-the-art base, with a quality of services and facilities rarely seen on the eastern seaboard. The Marina is managed in an environmentally sensitive fashion, with a management team which recognises its responsibility in conserving this pristine environment for future generations.
There are three excellent eateries here and the views of the bay and environs are great. The location is West facing so this is a good spot for a "Sun Downer". It is really nice to walk around the pontoons looking at the fantastic yatchs...MoreThank you for your review of our beautiful marina, we love to hear customer feedback. We hope you visit us again soon. Many thanks Darrell and team.

Not a long climb up a small hill - Australians will insist on calling these things a mountain - which it isn't. However, at the top the view is magnificent with very informative boards pointing out the many views in all directions. Well worth it for seeing the area spread out below you.

Alicia and G were great with the kids (aged 6-10), however the ratio of instructors per child was far too high to provide appropriate assistance. They are apparently licensed for 1:8, but for kids this age, it probably should be much less for the kids to get something out of it.

Luxury Yacht Charter. Charters available for 2 to 20 , sail only, luncheons, or oyster and cheee plate sunset sails.
Faultless service from start to finish.
Mark and Brett were fabulous hosts and they are a real credit to the business.
The oysters that were served were the best oysters I have ever eaten.
We're so thankful that we had amazing weather which made perfect sailing.
We will definitely recommend this sailing experience to all our family and friends. Can't wait to do it again

Well worth the stairs and the walk....husband managed to have baby in a harnessed backpack and walked up with only one rest. Easily marked walk so no risk of getting lost. All worth the magnificent scenery up the top.

Coastal and national park mountain bike tours, ideal for anyone seeking to experience Port Stephens from another perspective. We cater to all levels of rider experience, so come along and enjoy the ride! Port Stephens Mountain Bike Adventures is a member of Port Stephens Tourism Limited and a National Parks & Wildlife Service Parks Eco Pass licensed commercial recreation and tour operator.
My partner and I booked this tour to see more of the PS area. An unforgettable adventure. Thanks Mick for a great tour!
We were out for four hours in total covering almost 28k. Passed by many beautiful Beaches, through local neighbourhoods and course even tackled the side of a mountain! I discovered I had a fear of going down hills, especially when covered with sand and rocks. Mick encouraged me to stay on the bike and I made it down with a smile. We then went through the national park and managed to see some local wildlife - iguanas and parrots!
The tour finished with coffee in an old lighthouse looking over the beautiful ocean side bays.
We were very impressed with the high quality equipment & felt the tour was great value for money. We will be back next time we are in port Stephens.

Located on the far side of the marina, Koala Reserve is a foreshore reserve set amongst the eucalypts. A foreshore boardwalk starts at this park and meanders through to Nyrang Park. This walk gives a beautiful insight into the lush mangrove vegetation native to the Tilligerry Peninsula. Viewing platforms give scenic water views of the surrounding area.

This property is located at the end of a quiet street, near the bayfront, in the little community of Tanilba Bay. There is some graveled parking on-site and some street-parking in the local residential neighborhood. There is a small visitor’s center, with restrooms but no food.
The pathways are small-gravel, with short stretches of boardwalk, and so the property is reasonably wheelchair-accessible. The volunteer staff are eager to record where you came from, and to discuss this “Land for Wildlife” property. The property goes right down to the bay, where some kids were splashing in the shallows.
There is no entrance fee, but they do request donations in return for the property map, and use of the mosquito spray, both of which proved useful. We arrived late in the morning on a sunny April day. To our great luck, there was a “known” koala sitting in a trail-side tree not 10 feet from us. This is a natural tall-tree eucalyptus habitat, interspersed by fern-brush. It is a challenge for birdwatchers; there are flocks of lorikeets, but there are also honeyeaters and robins. We even saw a Noisy Friarbird, which impressed even the volunteers.
Well-worth a visit. Give yourself a few hours if you're a birdwatcher.

It is maybe a km walk and climb up stairs to the lookout. The lookout from memory is 161 ft above sea level and offers an amazing view along the coast line and back inland over Nelson's Bay. Definitely worth the effort.

Good boat at reasonable rates. Staff friendly and accommodating. Kids had a great day exploring 'deserted islands', anchored to jump out for some hot chips, saw different views of our beautiful region and even caught a few fish. Nice!
