the Marine Park, the Wharf..and the beauty that surrounds it. People are smiling, and friendly. You can choose to picnic in the park, or go to a nearby restaurant. it is wheelchair accessible. Nice level walk. Beautiful flowers in planters and in Gardens..and right now we have a man making a sand castle near the gazebo.

R.J. Haney Heritage Village & Museum is like stepping back in time. My husband and I recently attended the grand opening of new Montebello block. The celebration was just awesome, bands were playing, folks dressed in costume, old fashion games for the kids, hay rides.. The fun was never ending. The museum and buildings are very well done. There is so much to see. You won't be disappointed!

McGuire Lake is a lovely respite just of a busy highway. It is next to the Salmon Arm Hospital. It is picturesque, with a pretty Fountain, an easy walk/trail around it and a pleasant breather from otherwise busy lives or if need be a zen place to be if experiencing a stressful time at the hospital.

Marionette winery sits on the beautiful Broadview Bench, just minutes from downtown Salmon Arm. This bench has a unique mesoclimate, perfect for growing high quality wine grapes. The complex soils and the warm aspect of Marionette Vineyards make our wines truly unique. For us, wine is a lifestyle, a passion and the result of a year-round creative process that never ceases to amaze us as winemakers

Operating Grass Fed Cow Dairy Farm with on farm milk and cheese production. Open to the public Monday through Saturday 8:30- 5:00PM.
We always take visitors to the area to Grass Roots to try out their selection of cheese. It's really very good and the samples help you decide your favourites before you have to purchase.
Their products are sold in our local stores but you'll find the prices cheaper if you go to Grass Roots directly.
Glad we have such a quality cheese maker in town.

This is a great spot for swimming -- shallow entry, clean water, sandy bottom, grassy area with trees. A food shack provides good food. An excellent spot for the family.

Little Mountain Trail system is a pleasant conglomeration of several short trails running over a hill top in the Salmon Arm area. We accessed it off of Okanagan Avenue but there are a few different access points. The view from the top of the Summit Trail is pretty looking out over Salmon Arm to Shuswap Lake. If you string together a few different trails you can put together a nice hours walk/hike in a very pretty forested location. These trails are multi-use; expect hikers, dogs, horses and mountain bikes.

This is a great spot to take the kids and learn all about the wildlife of the Salmon Arm Bay foreshore. On the east side of Marine Park drive at the public parking lot this small building with the blue roof is right on your way to the pier. Execllent displays and information and staffed by enthusiastic people this is a good place to have the kids learn while you destress from a vacation summer. Shaded, grassy areas nearby makes a great place for a picnic. Public washrooms on site.
