Saint Julian's is a popular vacation spot on the coast of Malta. The small town successfully blends its fishing village charm with its tourist center. Latin architecture, such as Spinola Palace, built in 1688, and the Old Parish Church are popular historical sites. Divers will enjoy exploring shipwrecks via the Divewise Center. The renovated Paceville district, a former military haunt in the 1930s, is now the hub of Saint Julian's nightlife with an array of restaurants, bars, and clubs.

Great base for getting around the island away from Valletta. Several buses pass through the bay including the open top tour bus ( north). Lots of restaurants and bars to choose from .

A lovely walk around this very impressive marina for non-residents.
Beautiful yachts bobbing around in this man made marina overlooked by residential properties. There are some restaurants and a cafe near the entrance but we were here early on a Sunday morning. Well worth a look

Lovely old square with some gorgeous old buildings. The church is fabulous. It was lovely to sit and sip coffee listening to the melody of the church bells.
There are a number of cafes, ice cream parlours and pizzerias across the road in Balluta Bay.
Not really an attraction in itself but a nice place to whittle away an hour or so having a lazy laid back coffee with nice views.
Can get busy with traffic during rush hour.

This is a beautiful old church overlooking the bay right on the main road, nice day to night and authentic in every way

Dragonara Casino, the number one casino in Malta, is owned and operated by Dragonara Gaming Limited. The Dragonara Casino is housed within the majestic Dragonara Palace and has been operating since 1964 offering a unique gaming and entertainment destination 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Dragonara Casino is conveniently located within the St. Julian’s are featuring 250 slot machines, 15 live tables, a premier poker room overlooking the St. George’s Bay, a VIP-Lounge for high-roller private gaming, a Sports Lounge and one of Malta’s top rated restaurants. Dragonara Gaming Limited took over the operation of the Dragonara Casino in 2010 and since then has invested over €25 Million in the property. The Casino underwent a major investment upgrade project earlier in 2016 propelling the property into the ranks of the most prestigious and pristine gaming properties in the Mediterranean. Situated on the tip of the ‘Tad-Dragun’ promontory in St Julian’s the Dragonara Palace is one of Malta’s most extraordinary and imposing private properties built in the classical style almost as a grand romantic folly. Built in 1870 as the summer residence of the Marquis Scicluna the Dragonara Palace opened as Malta’s first Casino in 1964. The Dragonara Casino was one of the first major projects to establish Malta as a prime tourist destination. The Palace is a landmark property in Malta surrounded by a colonnaded veranda that abuts directly onto the sea. It retains many of the original architectural and interior design features, which have been successfully adapted to the requirements of casino patrons.

Clean sea and beautiful surroundings away from the tourists. Great place for a relaxing weekend. However the minus is - the kitchen closes at 4pm and the food is expensive and not that good.

Everything I am used to in a casino from the warm welcome to the selection of games. Something for everyone and with a great variety of options. This casino has 2 bar areas, tv area for sports betting or socialising, poker rooms, table games and if you are like me, a bit new to some of the games - You will be guided through the games without any pressure. This is a wonderful place to enjoy the evening entertainment (at weekends). Like I said, this is the big casino with the personal feel.

On the weekends always crowded and full of young people getting drunk. If you don't like that don't go there. It's the party area at night. If you are sleeping there make sure you have a room facing a quiet side or not the road otherwise you will have sleepless nights.

This casino used to a nice place to go - more upmarket than the Dragonara and with a restaurant as well. Now it's in a shocking state - very dingy, dark and grubby. The carpets are filthy and the white plastic chairs are split and in need of reupholstering. The restaurant has gone as well. There are a lot of building works in St Julian's and the Portomaso cafe next door has been demolished. Perhaps the casino is going the same way.
It looks like it's changed hands yet again so maybe the new owners have plans to refurbish it. Unsurprisingly there were very few people there and only one roulette table open which made the whole experience even more depressing.
