We took one last stroll through this park, as it has a great ocean view, recommend that everyone come to enjoy some quality time. Washrooms are clean & great place to spend some memorable times with the family. Lot's of free vehicle parking and playground for the kids.

This is a much under-rated garden attraction. 109 acres of well cared-for, interesting botanical specimens. Well labeled organized gardens: Doris Page Winter Garden,Takata Zen Garden, Native Plant, Herb Gerden, Vegetable plots, pro-Pollinator Garden and not to be missed Bonsai Gardens.
Charlotte and Quail Cafe gives you a lovely rest with the opportunity to sample produce from the Gardens. Incredible sculpture throughout the Gardens. Friendly helpful staff.
Don't miss it!

We spent a delightful hour 'doing the circuit'... and the littlies enjoyed watching the diving ducks disappear... and reappear as if by magic. Congratulations to all those who have protected and enhanced these wetlands, preserving this unique environment for wildlife and the enjoyment of future generations.

Great Scenic park located on the sandy beach, nice place for a walk or stroll.

Scenic Park with views of the ocean which also includes numerous trails & pet friendly
We located this park when travelling around the Mount Douglas park area (access located on a side street). Lot's of nice trails (identified by signage) and the fantastic beach is accessed by a nice paved walkway & stairway. Great times for dogs & people. Plaque identifies this as part of the San Juan Gateway.

I have been going to Mount Douglas Golf Course over the past 25 years since college. The course is not really fancy with lots of amenities. It is a basic 9 hole golf course that people go to play games and then leave. There is no fancy bar, restaurant, electric golf cart rental, valet services, etc. The staff there are very observant, friendly, and professional which means good customer service. The grass condition is average and ok, not top of line manicured like at the really expensive Greater Victoria golf courses. This means you will pay $10.50 per person instead of around $35 for 9 holes. This would be the equivalent of golf version of fast food to feed your needs without the extra fancy packages. You get your basics done and then you go.

Beyond the City Tours offers personalized, small group tours on the Saanich Peninsula. Just beyond the city of Victoria, this beautiful area offers an amazing range of attractions and activities. Hiking, wineries, Gardens, amazing local food and drink; there's so much to choose from!
We had been on the island for a few days but hadn't really found any good hikes. Marianne drove us to one of her favourite spots which I doubt I'd have found on the Internet. The views were incredible and provided some great opportunities for photos and to learn about the surroundings. She also took us to a great local spot for lunch, again probably not on trip advisor. Will use again if we return to Vancouver Island!
