This was well organised with bands, food vans and fireworks. Security & police kept the yobbos away.It was a good family atmosphere, & the only thing was it was a bit windy. Otherwise a great night.

Spend a full day sea kayaking through the Shoalwater Islands Marine Park and get up close and personal with Australian wildlife in and out of the water. Great trip today! Rhys was out tour guide and was friendly, fun and approachable. I'm a novice kayaker and he was really patient with me as he shared my kayak. Seeing all the local wildlife so close and in their natural habitats was lovely and the Penguin tour was very cute. It was well worth doing!

Warnbro Beach

Reviewed By Chizzel - Perth, Australia

This is a very popular beach with a large stetch of grassed area for families to picnic, laze about our take in the ocean view.
The beach can be a bit weedy at certain times of the year but one thing that attracts me is the fishing. I regularly use this area for boat and beach/ jetty fishing and it is a great spot to snorkel.
A lot of wind surfers use this beach so it great to watch them
Always a favourite beach for me. There are cafes and delis and other shops close by for fish and chips and drinks in case you don't pack your own. A lot less people frequent here than Rockingham beach so it is a great spot. It also isn't too far from Penguin Island.

Located in the spectacular Shoalwater Islands Marine Park, just 45 minutes south of Perth is Penguin Island- a beautiful, unspoilt nature reserve home to WA's largest colony of little Penguin as well as dolphins, sea lions, stingrays, pelicans, ospreys and more. Visitors can see the penguins being fed by rangers at the Discovery Centre. It's also fantastic for swimming, snorkelling, having a picnic or just enjoying some of the best coastal scenery in Perth. Had a great day, weather was amazing, sun was shining.
It's a beaut place to go with
friends for a picnic lunch (there is a reasonable sized area with quite a bit of shade, you just need to remember to pack lunch and water. However this is a cafe before you get to the island if you haven't packed anything)
Water is so crystal clear that you can see the fish swimming. It's beautiful for a swim to cool off on a hot day.
The Penguin enclosure is definitely worthwhile if you have kids or haven't done it before, however still enjoyable if you've done before
Had a fantastic day. Beautiful place to relax and enjoy nature.
Not the first time I've been to Penguin island and it won't be the last.
