It's about half an hour from Ranau. There weren't many signboards, but it shouldn't be too difficult to find. It's not far from the main road. Parking space was limited. The many fish that massaged my feet were big, and they were swimming free in the river. It felt ticklish but in a nice way. Families with children will especially enjoy this.

We chanced upon this place and were wondering if it was worth a visit. We were so happy to find this picturesque place for photo taking and a restaurant that served scones with good Sabah tea. The restaurant served other food too, all cooked with Sabah tea. We bought back many packets of different types of tea leaves which were reasonably priced. :)

These hills are located about 5 km from Kundasang town, on the same road (Jalan Cinta Mata Mesilou) which would take one to Desa Cattle Dairy Farm and Mount Kinabalu Golf Park. The right turn to Sosodikon Hill is located barely 50m away from the left to the well known Desa Cattle Farm.
The road to the base of the hill is narrow and can be rough. One can choose to leave their car just off the main road, and leg it from there (perhaps 1.5km). The actual climb takes only 20 mins. What awaits you is the unique pyramid shaped hills to your south and the mesmerising Kinabalu to your north. On both left and right sides, you'll see the beautiful Valleys of Kundasang.
Entry of RM3 per head apply, but for a visitor like me, it is well worth it even jut for the view.
Enjoy!

This is a small family ran conservation garden - interesting to tourists to view the Rafflesia plant which is supposed to be the biggest plant in the world although some argue it is a fungi. Whatever it is classed as it is very rare and worth seeing as it is a beautiful and unusual plant which requires specific conditions in order to grow. When it blooms, it only lasts for 7 days so that makes it even more special. we only saw one plant and in order to get to it you have to walk a short distance on a bamboo walkway- which is obviously stronger than it looks!
i think we were charged 30MYR (£6 ) for entry and that is very cheap as some tours charge about ten times that and you have to walk for miles to find it)
Well worth seeing.

After trekking for about a few hours from the checkpoint, the freshness of the waterfall gives a relaxing moments. Good spot for people to spend some time there after the hike.
Im always looking forward to have a nice food by the waterfall after the long hike . The water is quite shallow to swim but makes a great dipping experience.

The world's highest and Asia's first via ferrata located on Mt. Kinabalu on the 3rd largest island in the world, Borneo. The via ferrata at 3776m and Pendant Hut at 3,280m above the clouds within the UNESCO world heritage site of Mt Kinabalu National Park. If you are an adrenaline junkie and want a lofty adventure that have you hanging around on a wire, this is should be on your bucket list!
By far the very best way to come down from Mt Kinabulu summit. Very professional and well run operation. Very high level of safety with outstanding guides. Our group did the Lowes Peak Circuit and it was possibly even better than the summit sunrise. We had a couple who where very nervous but the high degree of professionalism shown by the guides - Hillary and Ali- soon had them relaxed and feeling safe. Should you do it? easy awnser is yes

Stalls after stalls. Selling all sorts. From vegetables to fruits to plants. Pretty dusty as it still located right by the main road. Friendly people to chat with.

Mansau is the local Dusun word for getting out and about. Our aim is to provide alternative trips for travelers to (REALLY) get off the beaten track. Jungle Trekking,Cycling, Caving, Rafting, Kayaking, Tubing. Mansau means to get out and about, so lets get out there!! At Mansau we aim to provide trips in and around the Ranau area, trips that you cannot find elsewhere. Independent travel being difficult in Sabah we wanted to provide adventure trips where you can get a real sense of being away from the main tourist trail, working with local communities and guides to find true hidden gems you wont find in the guide books.
I spent a couple of days at Lupa Masa in Feb '15, and thought the place was amazing. I loved being so immersed in the forest (I hung my hammock right by the river, so woke to the sound of the rapids), and the food was excellent (I'm veggie anyway) with a varied, interesting menu. We did the 2-day jungle training package, which taught me a lot about how to life comfortably in the forest, and Elce was great - really patient, and obviously lots of experience. We met some really interesting people there, and our first night was Rob's birthday, so had a memorable jungle party, and the drinks were reasonably priced (considering everything has to be carried in!) - since all meals are included, so this is the only additional expense. Great location, and saw a cool snake curled up on the ferns right by the main hut. Amazing! Can't wait to go back...
