Hintersee

Reviewed By hfulghum - Shoreline

We decided to walk up to the Hintersee, and were not disappointed after a gentle 6 kilometer long walk.
The lake is beautiful, framed on all sides with magnificent Mountains.
There are boat rentals, walking trails, parking if you drive up, and a public WC at the west end, as well as two or three cafes. Be warned, these can fill up fast on a nice day.
Go early.

St. Sebastian

Reviewed By Tony D - Sydney, Australia

The one photo used with every German tourist brochure. And it's there for a reason. In the heart of Baveria, this is picture postcard territory. Close to Konigssee, this church is worth a visit to soke up the local atmosphere and enjoy the sound of mountain streams and fresh air. Take some photos and create your own postcard memories of your last trip to Germany.

Zauberwald am Hintersee

Reviewed By JarraMag - Jarrow, United Kingdom

We visited the church at Ramsau first, then walked back to start of gorge, which was 35 minutes, the gorge itself took about 20 minutes to walk through, lovely to see and nice and cooling, then we jumped on a bus to Hintersee.

Hoch Schwarzeck

Reviewed By RugbyRuthy - Norwich

We took our two young children here and they really enjoyed it. This is an exposed and very high chair lift so you need to be able to trust your children but our 3 and 5 year old were sensible enough to use it with adult supervision. It cost us €19 for two adults (you can get a small discount with your visitor card) for a return trip and the children were free. It took around twenty minutes to get to the top and the views are amazing. There is a children's playground at the top and a restaurant that offers very good meal deals with a combined meal-chair lift ticket. If you have not got small children then there is a pleasant walk to the bottom of the mountain.
This is well worth the visit and although not as high as the Jennerbahn, it's cheaper and less crowded.

Wimbach Valley

Reviewed By hfulghum - Shoreline

Aside from the Wimbachklamm, which is reason enough to head this way, this area is filled with views and vistas, from the small and discrete to the grand and in-your-face-wow.
It's well worth the time to devote a day to walking and scrambling through. Good shoes, trail snacks, good shoes and go-before-you-go are all recommended.

Halsalm

Reviewed By christianaT6541OQ - Hohen Neuendorf, Germany

Soleleitungsweg

Reviewed By PoxdorferJung - Franconia, Germany

Bindalm

Reviewed By whkotks1 - Munich, Germany

Almerlebnisweg

Reviewed By Fritz S

Nice roundtrip over 11 km and about 750 metres in altitude, which guides you to several alps. Some parts are bold and stony, also the way down. So bring good foodgear with you!
Also when you go on this trip before mid. September you will meet cows along your way.
This round is absolutely worth a hike, also possible with dog, if your dog is not uncomfortable with stony paths.

Kallbrunnalm

Reviewed By Kristina R
