Good long curved stretch of beach with crystal clear water for swimming. Beach is pebbly/stony so you definitely need rubber shoes on, impossible to walk on and get into the sea without. Behind the beach is a traffic free Promenade lined with bars, cafes, tourist shops, takeaways etc., everything you need basically. Beds and parasols are available to hire, they were 20 kunas (£2.50) per bed and same for a parasol for the full day. When we were there in June there were several attractions for younger children, bouncy castle, trampolines etc. It's a lovely relaxing place to be with great view of old town.

Diving center Pongo is a PADI diving center located in Primosten, Croatia. We offer over 50 great diving locations and different diving courses from beginners to technical diving. We are famous in Croatia for some of best dive spots on big underwater cliffs, wrecks, overhangs, corals and macro life.
I did 2 fun dives here as a qualified diver. The dives are all giant stride from a small boat which is easy to access from a short pier, but the boat is spacious enough with water and tea etc. The equipment is pretty reasonable with new regulators and sensibly they gave us bigger tanks for the deeper dives.
On the same boat there was a DSD and an advanced course going on, and a few snorkellers. I was however a bit concerned that no staff from Pongo were left on the boat during the dives to keep an eye on the snorkellers, particularly as some of them were children.
The staff are really friendly and the dive centre is well set up. There are regular buses to Primosten from Split and Sibenik or your could stay in Primosten itself which has nice Beaches.
The water in Croatia is cold so a full 5mm wet suit is needed - bring a hood if you have one. But the visibility is exceptional and there's loads to see. I would recommend for sure :)

Beautiful, cosy and very creatively built and decorated place. A bit hidden from the main walkway, but easy to find. Wide offer of authentic handcrafted jewelry, lamps, furniture etc... Extremely friendly approach by it's manager and employees... All in all, it's differrent than many other...MoreThank you so much. We try hard to make people comfortable in our shop and it's nice to see it's appreciated :)

I visited this, nearly hidden shop in the old town Primošten several times. It is real shop for anybody who wants original, good honey for decent price. They sell different sorts of honey from Dalmatia and Islands as salvia or sage (best for me), rosemary, flowers, bramble (drača). You can taste different sorts before buying (five or six). Owner is also producing some other bee products and drinks from honey. Small shop is not for groups, running around. It is a boutique shop and you can talk with owner and learn a lot about bees, collecting honey. Very nice experience.

I've been on this excursion with a group of friends and had a really great time! We left port at 9am and came back about 5pm. Staff is very friendly and cheerful! As we left the port, we were served old dalmatian sweet called "fritule", homemade cherry brandy and salted anchovies for a starter. During the excursion we had a chance to see how it looks like to be a fisherman for a day and we had a chance to participate in catching fish by ourselves. After a while the net was out and fresh fish also! Best of all is that the entire catch is grilled right away! Before grilled fish we had fried squid rings and fried prawns. After lunch we stopped in a cute little bay a had some time for swimming.
So, if you like sea, sea food and good company I highly recommend you this excursion!
Last but not least, big plus for this excursion is that is eco-fishing!

We visited Primosten in September. We found this wonderful little Shop where one can find unique hand-crafted jewellery, art and gifts. We had a very interesting chat with the exceptionally friendly owner who, by the way, speaks several languages.
Gift Shop Olive is absolutely worth a visit. Also check out: Art Shop Unique.

As the only bar here is kind of expensive, and doesn't really have variety of beers, and other drinks. The the main problem is the band, the singer i so bad and only knows 20 songs or maybe less and is the same ones every night. It's OK to go once but not more than that. Also is full of drunk german elders.
