Lysterfield Park is a beautiful spot not far from Melbourne, offering a range of recreational activities. There are electric/gas barbeques, picnic tables and toilet facilities. Relax and have lunch in the picnic ground under the shade of the spotted gums or take part in something more heavy duty! There are many tracks through the parks suitable for walking, jogging and cycling. It is also well known as a great place for mountain biking. The Lysterfield Park Mountain Bike Trails and the State Mountain Bike course offers 20 kilometres of trails catering for riders of all ages and ability. Choose from easy family trails for all to enjoy around the lake and parkland, a range of flowing single trails through established plantations, or steep and technical sections of trail through rocky landscapes. Lysterfield Lake is very popular for canoeing, sailing, paddle boating and surf skiing. There are a number of walking tracks around the lake. It is also a haven for native birds, mammals and reptiles. Swimming is permitted within the two swimming bays but the water can be quite murky and children should be supervised at all times. Non-powered boating is permitted on the lake. The park is open from 8am to 7pm during daylight saving time.

It's has become so expensive to see a movie with village these days, two adult tickets + combo deal with drinks +popcorn you're looking at $70
This is fine, it's become more of a treat then something to do, and sometimes movies are just better on the big screen with no distractions... That being said- the amount of people sitting on there phones during the movie last night was ridiculous, yes they were on silent but seen a screen light up every five minutes is just so annoying, and flat out disrespectful to others in the theatre.
On a good note definitely recommend jigsaw was a good movie :D

Pretty good. Only had bubs in babies area. Found pricing to be a little on the expensive side (for children 1-2 years of age).
(Older kids play in the designated younger children areas too, meaning you literally have to stand by your child in case of rougher children, but the same thing goes at most playcentre's and I don't believe it's up to the centre's to police it, rather the parents/carers.)
The older areas look like more fun, so can't wait to test these out when bubs gets a bit older :)
Although a fairly new centre, it is still quite clean. Staff have been lovely. Service can be a little slower at times (re. food/coffee).

The name doesn’t sound to promising but the drain reserve is an amazing place to bring the kids. features a great gazebo overlooking a lake and a fenced playground a 100 metres further down. good place to let the kids run off energy
TIP: park on Loxley Boulevard to access gazebo and playground.

Something for all ages, from the playground to the adjoining space to kick a ball around or play a bit of cricket. Then there is the skate park for the older kids. Table and Seating with a bbq and shade sail, great for kids parties. On the whole an excellent place to spend time.

Located in Harkaway, which is a short drive from narre warren but like entering another world. It’s where the country meets the city. Has a great little playground and this easy hiking trail that’s relaxing. Parking is best at nearby Dalton Reserve
