The ruins here are okay, not great, but certainly worth the walk up the path several hundred feet. The best part are the views you have from up here over the valley of Malinalco and the Mountains beyond. If you are a ruins junkie, as I am, and have been all over Mexico and the world, don't expect the most amazing ruins you've ever seen, though.

You start with temporary Exhibitions, at the moment very beautiful pottery work. Then you have the main museum, beautiful and arranged with lots of innovative ideas. Then before leaving, there is the reconstitution of the inside of the pyramid you can visit after 400 stairs in Malinalco. The inside of the real pyramid is now forbidden so it important to be able to see it anyway at the museum.

Welcome to Malinalco, a magic town where you will combine the history, the nature and the adventure in one place. Just remember you will need to stay to live Malinalco! Working since 2007, we proudly lead the business of guided visit in-town. Our services reach the culture, extreme sports and appreciation of surroundings. By being natives of the area we know the old-natural roads that follow and cross the entire county (if you wish a whole day of trekking) or if you wish to know closer the monuments, petroglyphs and pyramid that gives the international famous to the town: our archeological site with its monolithic temple named as Cuauhcalli, we will take you up there to show and tell all about it. If your conditions are pointed to live every second at the top level of adrenaline we'll dare you to perform one of our routes named Rappel EXT, first you will walk during twenty five minutes way up to finally and then prepare for rappelling, which has a length of sixty meters straight. Know the whole town by the hand of the staff of Algo Mas De Mali, we will help you to find place where to stay, no matter if you are traveling solo or in a group, just call or contact us. To learn and live Something More About Mali!
As someone who did rappel/cascading dozens of times in different places around the world I must say, the experience with AMD was outstanding. From the organization at their agency in the town, to the explanations, to the photos, everything was flawless. Congratulation to the instructors who were very well trained. Very safe activity, I recommend to anyone!

Yoga-temazcal-spa
If you don't know what a temazcal is, this is a nice place to discover it (about 300MXP for 2 hours). They also offer many different types of massages, yoga classes, etc. Everything is very clean and of superior quality.
Small boutique and small cafeteria on the premises.
Between Panteon Municipal and Hotel Malinalco.
Soothing place not to be missed when visiting Malinalco.

Mexican craftsmanship. Preserving the best of owr traditions. Beuty & Quality in all our pieces. What is new combines with what is old and, furthermore, feeds on traditions of our people.

We went here on a Sunday, which is probably the busiest day to go. I have great admiration for the genuine pilgrims who travel great distances to be here. We parked pretty close and walked down through the market streets selling tacky religious souvenirs and sweets. There were huge numbers of people, families and large groups carrying crosses and other religious icons and the area in front of the church and the church itself were very crowded. You can enter via a side entrance and go up to see behind the altar and see the Christ figure.
Outside the main church area is a river where many of the pilgrims rest and bathe. Again it's pretty crowded.
This was an interesting experience but if you're not there with religious intent it's probably not going to wow you.
