This is one of the best places to see Nippo-Kaigan Quasi-National Park. There are two lookout points on top of the precepitous cliff that offer a great view of the hexagonal rock columns that make up the cliff and the Pacific Ocean. Looking at the horizon, you can make out the curve of the earth.
There are some lovely paths to explore in this area which provide some magnificent views of the stunning coastline and impressive gorge. Some of the paths involve climbing a lot of steps, so make sure you are wearing appropriate footwear! There is plenty of free parking at different points on the road. It's definitely worth a visit (for a couple of hours) as the area hasn't been spoilt or over developed.

Omi's claim to fame is the dragon ball/ egg located at the furthest point from the entrance. That being said, my favorite part is hands-down the view. The shrine is very close to Isegahama beach and the dragon cave. Definitely worth a look if you're in the area.

This is a famous spiritual spot in Hyuga. The rock split at a right angle forming a giant cross. According to local legend, wishes made here will come ture.
The road sign translated this site as “Sea-Cross – have ones wish granted”. Though it’s hard to understand the weird translation, this scenery is certainly more amazing than the famous Umagase. You will find this lookout when driving along the road in this area.

Old houses were built along the two long streets, and most of them had been refurbished for residential use already. There was a small shrine and also couple of wells from the old days. Near the seashore you could find the No.1 Japanese Navy port featured by a great monument.
Not easy to get there from Miyazaki city and not much parking facilities.

This could be the highest spot of Hyuga city cape to enjoy the beautiful scenery and windy breezes of the coastline. Inland view of Hyuga city could well be captured at the parking lot too. You could take very good pictures from the double storey tower.

Sanpo Seaside is very nice place to walk and to see the waves and what the sea can do to the shore. Nice lace for photography.
