Well laid out and pleasant museum and park that provides more information about Zhou En'lai than you can ever need. Slightly repetitive however as the exhibition is very photo-based, i.e. lots of pictures of Zhou En'lai shaking hands with foreign leaders, giving speeches etc. English translations on photos so easy to follow the course of his life. Little on his personal life however as the exhibition focussed on his political career and not the man himself. Main concern was the potentially tranquil museum shattered by loud tour guides with microphones. The grounds of the park are lovely and worth a stroll.

Huai'an is not heavily visited by Westerners, and that makes for an interesting change from the typical tour. An intelligent leader of China who never strayed from his beliefs and support of all Chinese, especially the peasants. The home reflects this and much more.

Of course, there is some tourism to this area, but many of the shops are still "original". Not often frequented by western tourists, it is a real treat off the path of the usual western tourist stops.

There was a lot to see despite the fact that most of the exhibits were in Chinese. Also, there were not a whole lot of people that day so it was pretty quiet.
