A fairly new attraction for the area. A museum telling the story of the limestone fossiles found at the mine and lots of those can be seen at the museum.
Great view over the area and also the possiblity to go down to the mine area.

Camp Adventure is a premium high rope course located near Gisselfeld Monastery in Southern Zealand. Camp Adventure offers seven high rope courses at different skill levels, a large indoor climbing wall and the longest zip lines in Northern Europe measuring up to 450 m. Visit Camp Adventure for a fun day in the outdoors with exciting and challenging activities for the entire family.
Going to Camp adventure takes a little driving, but it is worth the little trip. After a short safety instructions we went to the climbing area. Here we went through another short safety/technic guidance and then we went climbing. Cool Cool - everybody was challenged and everyone had fun.
You are allowed to bring own food and drinks - and there is bbq fireplaces where you prepare food. I was there with my kids (12 and 14 years) and the wife - we all had a fun day. I can really recommend this place - set aside the whole day :)

The surface armaments - and especially the underground museum - provide an interesting insight into the equipment and facilities that were constructed and used during the cold war era to defend and control access to the Baltic Sea. The experience was not unlike looking into a time capsule, while the size and extent of the facilities exceeded my expectations.
The guided tour was presented by a very competent and knowledgeable tour guide.

Thorvaldsen, danish classicist sculptor known from St. Peter's Cathedral Rome, lived part of his latest years, after returning to Copenhagen from Rome, at Nysø Manor. The baroness Stampe delivered him a small summer residence, with tiny park, atelier and lovely company. To day you'll find the classicist-romantic setting intact and some small collection of his works. If you are visting Copenhagen and appreciate the classicist-romantic period, go see the prestigious Museum of Thorvaldsen in the middle of the old medieval city. Having done the capital you might choose to live for a day or two in fairytale city of Præstø some 50 kilometres south. Stay at the beautiful Frederiksminde Hotel, dine at the hotels michelin star restaurant.

Using Denmarks excellent rail network we walked to Stevns Klint along a well marked path from Rodvig. Chalk cliffs, seascapes, inland fields as we headed towards the old church at Hojerup. The area did not disappoint and lots of information boards to explain all. Really nice day out

I sydskibet husk at se kalkmalerierne bl.a. med sjove karrikaturer.
