We have dined here on several occations, as we live only a 15 minutes ride from the place.
The food has always been excellent, the service good and the wine list exciting-
There is a small hotel connected with the restaurant (or vice-versa?), so it is possible to get a good meal with wine, without the need to consider the breathanalyser afterwards.
The prices are in the higher level; but the quality corresponds with the price.

The 6-course gourmet dinner here can macth any restaurant in Denmark - included Noma and Falsled. Service: The red bearded waiter is extraordinary in his service and the way he explains the dishes. Food is modern nordic gourmet. Wine menu just excellent.

Here, you'll find everything you know from most cafés in large and medium-sized cities, but in a much more calm atmosphere. The food is great, the staff is friendly, and the cake selection is pretty amazing. No wonder this place is popular and sometimes very busy.

Nicely situated by the harbouside with waterfrontviews and reasonably comfortable Seating.
Good beerselection from smaller Breweries, and a menu large enough to provide selections for disparate tastes. Bread is baked onpremise and served with homemade tapenade.
Now to the huge drawback that will prevent us from ever returning:
Service is slow and erratic, you might getthedrinksyou ordered or not. After a 45-minute wait we were informed that the kitchen forgot our order, and did we still like to eat? Another 30 minutes later, hastily prepared burgers arrived and despite complimentary drinks, it left us unhappy!

Syaing at Faxe Ladeplads, Praesto seemed to bethe nearest place to find somewhere to eat. Concensus from our friends took us here. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the menu provides a good choice. Three of us chose the the luxury tapas platter and whist the quality could not be faulted the amount of food you get for you money was disappointing to say the least - I accept that Denmark is expensive as I have worked there but to pay in excess of £30 for the amount you got was overpriced. That said when we complained the bill was adjusted to our satisfaction. So if you go choose wisely as some of us did without complaint.

On 5th June 2016, my family and I visited the little lovely town of Praesto and wanted to end the visit with a dinner at the Kaktus restaurant, which was situated in the town center. It was a combined Italian and Mexican fare.
The restaurant exterior looked very cozy and inviting. However, we cannot say the same for the interior as it was very tired looking.
There were about 15 tables and by the time we were there about 6.30pm, nearly all tables were full BUT there were only 2 waitresses who took orders, serve and clear food and at the same time and they were also the cashiers. The restaurant was clearly short-handed.
We sat for about 10 minutes before menus were given to us. Another wait of 15 minutes before they came to take our orders. Then the long agonizing wait of half an hour before we got our starters. And after they cleared our starters, another 20 minutes or so for the main course. The last straw was, we waited so long for the dessert that one of us went to remind the waitress to bring us our ice-cream because we were convinced they had forgotten. It was also getting late.
Now about the food. Prices were cheap. Apart from the pizza and pasta, the meat dishes don’t really shout Italian. Having said that, they taste okay but not fantastic. The worst dish was the Enchilada which my teenage daughter ordered. There were two tortillas slapped on with a massive amount of cheese and served with half-cooked rice. It was not “delicious”, as per her description. Needless to say, she left a big portion untouched.
We all agreed that this was not one of our favorite restaurant.

This place has it all: old style coffee, yummy cake and great ice cream. We found the service of the (german) owner/host very swift and friendly. They also offer a limited menue of lunch options, mainly sandwiches.

We had lunch at Skipperkroen and it was OK. A classic Danish dish, Stjerneskud (containing of a fried fish, a cooked fish and prawns) was served on rye bread, but the protion was very small. A tiny dish like this should not cost 129 DKK. Likewise with the heering - one small piece og rye bread and pone piece of fish at 109 DKK. Plcae is fine, service is fine, but the prices are oput of touch with what you get.
