A great place if you're interested in the subject. This museum not only has all kinds of old sewing machines from a few decades, it also views hundreds of shoes typical for the certain periods (from BC to medieval times to modern world), some of them are a real work of art.

We visited Novelda in March. What a charming place & so much to see & do , well worth a day's visit if in the Alicante/Costa Blanca region . Our first stop was the tourist office which in itself is a marvel with friendly helpful staff & pointed in the direction of the Santuario & it's opening hours. There is a cafe next door & a castle but the marvellous views of the surrounding countryside are worth going to see even if the church is closed. The exterior is inspired by Gaudi & his Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, but finished!. The interior is charming & has a fabulous marble organ which the church warden proudly puts on for you to hear & gives you information in various languages about the church & it's unique organ. A fabulous welcoming sound delights anyone who visits! The Modernist museum is also a must see!

The town, and indeed that of Elda, are of such utter drabness that I would be hard pressed to suggest any possible reason for visiting them. That said, there's some wonderful countryside within twenty minutes' drive of their ugliness. Give the towns a miss, and head instead for somewhere like Xorret de Cati. Or, if you don't like the countryside, head to the attractive village of Biar.

A very picturesque location in Alicante province. Sax is quite a quiet town and the castillo was deserted when we visited on a Sunday afternoon in November. There are nice walks on well constructed paths and the views of and from the castle are very good.

An amazing house fully furnished and beautifully decorated in the art nouveau style. It was light and airy and full of wonderful surprises.
Everything is in excellent condition and looks like the family has popped out for a while.
We loved it and definitely plan on a return visit.
