Iglesia de Los Capuchinos

One of the monuments to visit in this town. The church is quite new, 1933. Intersting are the colours used by architect Ferrari on front. Thé neogothic style remains always attractive.

Capilla Domestica Compania de Jesus

Reviewed By Vanessa G - Edinburgh, United Kingdom

The whole Manzana (block) is a Unesco World Heritage site, since 2000. La Manzana Jesuítica de Córdoba (Argentina), is a whole block at the very city center, which includes: the Capilla Doméstica, the Colegio Nacional de Monserrat, the Iglesia de la Compañía de Jesús, the old Universidad Nacional de Córdoba headquarter and the Residencia
The church (Iglesia de la Compañía de Jesús) looks very simple from the outside, as expected from the jesuitic order, but has a beautifully ornated interior, with pieces from different centuries (e.g. the altar is from Century 20th while the basic structure dates back to the 1600s, when the Jesuits established themselves in Cordoba) and a breathtaking ceiling. The tomb of Fray (Obispo) Trejo, who now lends his name to the front street, is at the back, next to the ornated altar.

Definitely worth a visit!
Free entrance. Open all year round.

The whole site is quite fascinating once you learn some of the history. Parts are very beautiful and other parts are certainly historically interesting. Our tour guide was very passionate and took her time to explain every detail. Excellent value for money

Catedral

Beautiful inside and out, with Indian angels gracing its towers, this Cathedral at Plaza San Martin was started in 1577 and took almost 200 years to build.

Reviewed By Chililita1 - Panama City, Panama

The church is a superb structure with great paintings and sculptures. The dome is magnificent with gold plated altars. It has one full silver altar. Unfortunately the interior has extremely poor maintenance, the peeling walls and parts of the beautiful ceiling, take away part of the grandiosity of the Cathedral.

Iglesia de la Compania de Jesus

Reviewed By Jesusmiguel58 - Buenos Aires, Argentina

In the heart of the town and part of the "Jesuitic Block" which was declared by Unesco as World Heritage in 2000, the church is a central piece of the Jesuitic buildings which were the site of the capital of the regional domains of this religious order (curiously named Province of Paraguay). The church is the traditional Baroque building lavishly decorated inside and full of artistic values contrasting with a simple facade in the outside.

I went to Los Gigantes a zillion times. I trekked and climbed this Mountains once and again. But it doesn't mind at all how many times I go there: every time the magnificence of the landscape won't fail to amaze and surprise me. An absolute must go in Córdoba hills.

Though perhaps not as intriguing as the Sagrado Corazon church, the Cathedral is nonetheless exquisite and the interior decor and artefacts quite stunning. The ceiling is of particular beauty. Right on the the plaza San Martin, so a great central point.

The palace itself is really elegant and charming and it contains some masterpieces of great artists, in particular Carlos Alonso's series "Manos anónimas" but also some beautiful samples of important painters from Córdoba and all Argentina (Caraffa, Splimbergo, Mónaco, Allievi, Costantino). Nice garden, coffee shop and regular temporary Exhibitions.

Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel of Candonga

Reviewed By Yohana_Stupar - Bordeaux, France

This is a small church that dates from the XVIII century and it was declared National Historic Munument in 1941. It's not far from Córdoba, only around 50 km. But the way can be a lit long as the road is a dirt road. But don't worry, nature is telling you not to rush and admire the lovely landscape as the church is located on the Mountains. Special to those that love walks in the nature!

This is a very interesting place to visit! Even it was designed for childrens... you can feel a kid again! There are simple attractions that introduce kids into the science world as well as with art, literature... Depending on the month you can find themes and games to learn more about it. If you have some extra time while traveling around the city you won't regret it! :)
BTW I was over before June 2013 but I couldn't go back in time more than that.
