This is very informative museum and good place to learn about the history and culture of the town. It displays records and documents related to the struggle and success of these figures in Terengganu and their respective field. All of the displays were well maintained. Free entrance.

This place also known as Kemaman "Monica Bay". My friends and I walked along the beach to enjoy the scenery. This place is much better than others beach i have visited before. Bought some sata along the road before arrived here. Surely, a place for you to relax and feel the smoothness of the sand.
Food court, toilets, surau and homestay available near here. So, enjoy your visit.

The river cruise was 1.5hrs. We were made to sit in a small boat with life jackets. The water was very murky but could really feel and see the mangroves up and close. The guide showed us the black mangrove snake and the monitor lizard very closely. It was good to see their animals in their natural habitat. I was really scared and thought what if they jump in our boat. But fortunately that never happened. We booked the tour through Hafiz activities something like that which costed us RM 35pp. Overall nice to experience nature at its best

I think this the only place in Cukai, Kemaman, where you can get variety of at reasonable price. There are many stalls that sells fruits such as durian, laici, rambutan, pisang, mangga, and many more. This place is main attraction for locals to buy there own supply of fresh slaughter chicken, fish and some herbs for cooking.

This is a completely different firefly experience compared to anything you would have seen before. Hafiz is extremely passionate about his job, and has done plenty of research and study into the behavioral patterns of fireflies. The moment he starts signaling with his special flashlight, the fireflies swamp the boats miraculously! A must-see in Cherating.

Parking is quite far and to cross over to the entrance is dangerous as it is on a higher group. Couldnt see the cars coming from both sides.
There is an entrance fee. The place was undergoing some renovation work when we got there. Hopefully there's plenty of improvements next trip ahead.
Theres birds, orang utan, fishes and many more inside. After all it is just a MINI Zoo.

Nice open air environment with so many shops to choose from. The food is good and was not too expensive. Others shops also available here, but at 1st level, most of the shop already closed.

Small smelly pools for the turtles, we felt uncomfortable there and only stayed around 15 minutes. Coming from NZ we are used to seeing captive animals in better conditions.

Zairil who is the owner of the surf school is an enthusiastic surfer and is always happy to help out his guests. His website (google it) has the latest pictures of his current batch of Surfing guests and has various packages to cater for most budgets from aircon chalets right on the beach all the way to budget rooms at his guest house which includes 3 surf lessons and 2 nights stay. Most but the lowest packages include breakfast at the Ombak cafe which is located down the road next to the "Don't tell mama restaurant". They also offer rental of just the board for a full day or half the day. They also offer lessons only packages for small groups which includes the board rental. The surf conditions are of course weather and tide dependent and you may have to wait for the right wave to surf. The instructors are local surfers who will literally give you the right push to get up on the board in no time at all.

Just like other beach, this place is good for family picnic or gathering. Enjoy the scenery, the beach, playing with sand, swimming and other outdoor activities. Usually crowded during holidays but happening is great. Lots of great restaurant around here so hungry is not a choice. Try looking for the best recipe of #patin #tempoyak and #sambalhitam lazat but couldn't find.
