Cesme attracts all types of surfers from all over the world: wind surfers, kite surfers, surf surfers. If you can surf it, you’ll probably want to surf it in Cesme. This resort town on the Aegean Coast is all about the water. Even the 16th-century Cesme Castle is a stone’s throw from the sapphire sea. The beaches are golden, the ocean is warm, and the atmosphere is posh but friendly.

This castle is really wortha visit. We were amazed by its history and artifacts on display. It only cost 8 lira each for entry but this is definately not suitable for less able bodies as lots of steps to climb. The picture is the amazing view we saw from it

... probably has the warmest waters in Turkey at any given time. This is due to the hot Springs in and around Cesme.
I know I wanted to read lots of reviews to findout which Beaches were best for swimming so Im happy to share details to make it easy for TA members
this beach is a great choice - Soft sand, beautiful views, warm water, gentle waves and lovely place to relax
good for babies

This is a gorgeous beach with the clearest waters I've seen yet. It's like swimming in a pool. There is a nice breeze, shallow cool waters, nice sand, very few rocks, and nearly no waves.
You can get there via the dolmus stop located just behind the Burger King at the Cesme Merkez. It costs only 4tl, take it to the last stop. From there, there are many beach clubs and even a few public beach areas.
We want to CopeCebana (the first beach past the dolmus stop) and it was great with kids. No loud music, chairs were affordable (we went during the week). Food and drinks are really expensive though.
I highly recommend taking a trip here. You won't regret it.

The Cesme Museum, located in the Cesme Fort, is well maintained and has several rooms full of archival collections. However, going up through narrow stairs is difficult, more so for seniors (I am over 83) without any elevator. There are beautiful views from the Fort.

This has been far my favourite attraction in Çeşme, it's like a hidden gem, very clear waters and beach, you must visit if you are in Çeşme for sure.
I have some advice for travellers they should take it into consideration when they visit Delikli koy.
There is no public transport so you have to hire a car.
There is also no shops so make sure you take plenty of water and food
There are lot of flies so bring a fly spray and spray all over yourself, you can buy personal fly sprays at most pharmacies and big supermarkets.
There is sandy beach but when you enter the sea it's mainly stones so bring slippers, I entered the sea with slippers then throw it to the beach once l am in the sea.
And please take back any rubbish you have as there are no facilities.
Enjoy Delikli koy you're going to love it.

My son had a little incident . The was very attentive and professional .they called out a nurse to have look at my son if he was ok. That made me relaxed. I was worried if he is ok..
The drinks was very expensive but good . I had fresh orange juice and kids had some soft drinks . The bill came 100 lira. It putt is off the ordering food .it was more reasonably we would have order. We weren't mean just fast food . It wasn't worth it.
overall good fun for the family.

Artisan local wines of Gemici family. You can buy homemade jams & pastas, olive oil soap , olive oils, essantial oils, natural apple vinegars, pottery handcrafted, atelier ceramics
This is a great little shop with local delicacies and local wine. I bought some incredibly delicious homemade jams from here and a bottle of local wine. The wine was unfortunately off which was a disappointment as I lugged it all the way back to London. It's worth visiting for just the jams though!

Erythrai was one of the 12 Ionian cities, although there is little left to see. However, the theatre has been uncovered and, above it, are the remains of a much older Temple of Athena (about 800BC) as well as a (relatively) more modern, Byzantine basilica. The site is quite demanding and certainly cannot accommodate many with mobility impairments but the view from the Acropolis is certainly worth the effort to get there!
Over the years more and more information has been displayed and certain artefacts are to be found both in the Cesme Castle museum as well as the Izmir Archaeological Museum.
Around the village of Ildiri are additional small sites belonging to Erythrai and these are worth visiting, too.

Second trip to CesMe , and of course ,off the beaten track, the Famous Ramos Beach ! Part of the Altinkum White sanded beach. What a very laid back atmosphere, no loud music blaring out as some Beaches have, great sea but slightly on the cool side but with the temperatures in the late 30's then that's ok. Great staff very friendly , great car parking with a parking attendant taking 5 tl but he does look after all the cars parked. Cool beer great food c/w its own famous cocktail bar ! Very Hot sand !! Loads of sun beds with 4 per umbrella . There is a charge per bed of 10tl but you can stay there literally from early till late.
Warning though don't go on Sat or Sunday as it is really busy , and I mean busy ! You can't even get near to park your car to even check if there's a space ! I think everyone in CesMe goes at the weekend.
It is next to another beach resort but everything is double the cost of Ramos so ensure you go into the right carpark ( the one to the right ! ) excellent .

Seriously it not worth spending your money in these places, the only purpose is to charge you 3 times more than a normal local beach. If you carry on the main road there are many other Beaches further down in Altinkum which do not require an entrance fee and are not so expensive plus its the same water.
What i really found chocking in Fly-inn is that the outside area (ie where the car park etc is) is so disgusting, rubbish everywhere, not looked after. They should really make the entrance more attractive and give it a good cleaning with all the money they must make...
