Spent a day in tentena as a break from the way from Rantepao to the togean Islands. The waterfall was a nice surprice, as i've seen a lot of Waterfalls and after you've seen a few big ones, the rest is kind of dissapointing. This waterfall was actually pretty nice. We were the only visitors, so had the whole waterfall to ourselves. A dodgy looking kiddy pool and tables with benches throughout the park gave it a kind of abandoned park feeling and suggest that it might be crowded with locals on weekends.

We went to Togean Island for 3 days 2 nights only. Although, it took a very long journey to got there, but believe me, it's worth the effort. From Gorontalo Port we took tuna tomini ferry to reach wakai the nearest jetty to reach togean, and it spent arround 12 hours.
Day 1, as we arrived, we visited a spot called california reef 1 for snorkeling and that was the best snorkeling spot that I've ever tried. visibility was very great, amazing crystal clear water, you could see clearly the coral from above your boat.
Then, we visited Karina Beach and stingless jelly fish lake. No need to take a trekking step, the lake is just behind Karina Beach.
the day after, our boat man took us to the Papan Island and the view was soo beautiful!, it only took arround one hour from our resort in Kadidiri Island. The locals called suku Bajo, still lived there, the children will sing a song when a tourist visiting them.
I never regret had a very long journey to Togean. Will be back again for sure. :)

Danau Poso is an enormous, clear mountain lake surrounded by wooded hills in a little-touristed part of Sulawesi. It is well-worth staying a couple of days to relax and enjoy the walks and views in the small lakeside town of Tentena, which is also the jumping off point for a trip to see the mysterious megaliths of the Bada Valley. This area almost defines the phrase "off the beaten track!" We loved it!

If you are in the neighborhood, you might want to make a short stopover at this island. The village on it is nice and clean and there are some very nice little hotels and home stays as well. The water around the island is chrystal clear and very inviting for snorkeling and diving.
What makes this island special compared to other Islands is the long foot bridge, built for the children who can now walk to the school. There are many good picture opportunities. Finally, the people are very friendly

This place is excellent place to let your adrenaline run free. The place is quite hard to find since it almost venture into the forest. You could ask the local to guide you there. You only need to pay parking fee to enter this attraction place. Once you get inside, you could see a giant hole surrounded with hand rail. The hole leads to a natural sea water pond. The height to jump down is about 6-7 Meters down. It's very fun to see some tourist are already standing in position but afraid to jump down ^^v. The stairs to climb up is really a pain in the behind for fat people. i spent nearly 5 minutes to climb back up. If they fix the stairs, it could be a better attraction (hmph!). Totally a place you must visit if you are coming to donggala.

It's certainly not on the way to anywhere, but that's part of the beauty of this place. The megaliths were very interesting and took you through some lovely countryside, which was great for birding. Deddy
+6285145045403), was a super guide, who brought the whole place to life and then left you to ponder the mysterious origins of the megaliths.

I visited there due to my friend recommendation before depart from Luwuk. That night I came to one of local cafe on that hill. Actually I thrilled with its view because it had a same image with Hong Kong view, but I disappointed with impolite local cafe waiter who forced me to buy their boasting-but-tasteless food and drink and gave late response to bring my order in time.
I hope local government could give more attention and effort to make this hill to become friendly place to be visited.
