Makes easy to find the way from boat to the center of Borkum. Is free of use (price for train is included in ferry-ticket price). The vagons are the same like in the beginning of 1900, with beautiful polished wooden seats. A short trip that brings smile on your face.

Climbing on top of the new lighthouse is a clear recommendation. You have a very nice view of the city and the beach and the sea around.
Two minor things that I did not like:
- You cannot have a look at the lamp, reflectors and technology in the lighthouse (which is still in operation)
- There is a fence around the platform which makes it difficult to take really nice pictures

Today was the party of the Museum of Borkum, where the house of a whaler has become the showcase of life in Borkum centuries ago until today. The museum was crowded with local and outsiders listening to shanty music and to presentations about the history of whalers hunting near Greenland and Spitsbergen battling with wild oceans and ice. Some losing their ships, some their lives. They traveled for months to come back with several whales (especially their fat) or with empty hands. Women managing life at home.
It is a nice museum with the natural and social history of Borkum. Lucky day, as the museum members offered soup, waffles, cakes and coffee for visitors.

Borkum is so very beautiful and many doves, seals, deer and rabbits live there and are not afraid at all... everyone can relax and breathe the fresh salty air - and the famous Jever beer.

The nature in Borkum is wonderful. There are nearly no cars on the island, most of the people ride bikes. That is the best way to explore the island.

We visited Borkum on a company outing and also paticipated in the activities of World of Wind. We had the best time and really appreciated how the guys organized everything, especially since we were with a lot of people of many age groups. Kudos to all of you!! And Thanks
