If you want to go with your family for a swim, you might be right here. A lot of things to do with different pools, a slide, hot tub etc. On the weekend always very crowded. The sauna area is very nice. Different saunas welcome you in a beautiful garden surrounding. one of the best saunas I have ever visited.

Der Besucher bekommt einen sehr guten Eindruck in die Geschichte und Methoden der Ziegelherstellung. Sehr ausführlich werden die Arbeitsbeitsbedingungen erklärt. An bestimmten Terminen werden auch die Maschinen in Gang gesetzt. Hierzu sollte man sich vorher auf der Internetseite des Museums informieren. Ferner ist von April bis Oktober an jedem 1. Sonntag im Monat die Feldbahn auf dem Museumsgelände in Betrieb.

One of the landmarks of the tourist area of the town, these are multistory towers that concentrate brine drawn up from below the town. The towers (which stretch for hundreds of feet) concentrate the salts, which is the founding industry of Bad Salzuflen. You can walk along side the towers at ground level or along the top of the towers, giving you a view of the town and the beautiful Kurpark nearby. Sitting my the towers gives you a breath of sea breeze, and you can even arrange to spend time in a spa inside the towers to take in the mineral salt laden air. The towers are central to a major shopping and restaurant area.

The most interesting part about this building is the architecture. Very elegant and at the same time playful and serene. From the outside as well from the inside it contains a lot of nice surprises and gives you something to explore and to be amazed.
They do offer Exhibitions on various topics so better make sure it is something of interest for you in there but if it iis, it is surely worth the 7 € entrance fee. Parking space is ample close by and the railway station is just 500 m aways.
For those of you who are interested in modern art and architecture certainly a must see.

an extensive spa. Lots of swimming pools, with different temperatures, and inside and outside. Similarly, a range of saunas. Outdoor Terrace with loungers for when weather permits. All included in one price.
You can hire towels and robes, but most people bring their own.
Mixed gender changing room but with separate showers and private changing cubicles.

Wir waren während unserem Urlaub in OWL in Herford und müssen sagen, ist in unseren Augen eine nicht gerade saubere und gepflegte Stadt. Überall in der Fußgängerzone lag Müll, was daran liegen könnte, dass die Mülltonnen überquillten.
Auch der Hundekot an vielen Stellen hat uns gestört, obwohl wir selber mit Hund unterwegs waren. Wir waren sehr entäuscht und sind nach 30 Minuten wieder weg gefahren.

Der Stadtforst Bad Salzuflen ist gemeinsam mit dem angrenzenden Herforder Stuckenberg ein ideales Naherholungsgebiet für Jogging, Nordic Walking und ausgedehnte Spaziergänge. Auch Reiter und Mountainbiker sind in den Waldstücken, die durch die Autobahn A2 getrennt werden, unterwegs. Über eine Brücke (alternativ ein kleiner Fußgängertunnel) kann die Autobahn überquert werden.
Es gibt viele lohnenswerte Ziele, z. B. den Bismarckturm, Tierpark Herford mit kombinierten Trimm-Dich- und Waldlehrpfad in unmittelbarer Nähe. Auf Salzufler Seite ist die Bahnengolfanlage an der Loose und das Schützenhaus sehr beliebt. Viele Lokalitäten laden zum Einkehrschwung ein, z. B. Waldesrand, Steinmeyer (beide Herford) oder Waldrestaurant Loose (Bad Salzuflen). Die Altstadt von Bad Salzuflen ist sehr schnell erreichbar.

The Bismarckturm is an observation tower, 23,33 meters high, placed in the forest on Stuckenberg in the eastern outskirts of Herford. It was built in 1906.

Worth a visit? If you are really into German observation towers built in the early 20th century, the answer is yes.
If not, just go down the hill and enjoy another Herforder pils!
