Whilst staying in Porte Crouesty in Brittany, we noticed there was a diving school. My son (13 years old) was very keen to try his hand. I'd always wanted to but never had the opportunity nor the courage. So we signed up for a diving baptism for a morning. I was extremely nervous, my son wasn't at all! It was no problem to make a reservation, we were welcomed warmly when we arrived at 9h, shown the facilities, helped to pick out a wetsuit and even helped into the wetsuit and boots (that was the worst bit I think), what a faff...There were 4 of us doing our bapteme and I was the only one over 16! Gilles sat us down and gave us a briefing as to how to use the equipment and how to manage our diving experience. Lots of good tips. Very reassuring, although by this time I was starting to feel very nervous. We picked out flippers and were given a boat (there were two which went out on this day). The ride to the diving site was absolutely thrilling! The Zodiac inflatable went really quickly and it was just so cool.
We all went in turn with one monitor per person. Because I was the nervous one, I went first! The instructor could not have been more kind and patient. He was firm, experienced and so good at his job. I panicked once and went to the surface but we dived again and it was amazing. All the beginners had this experience with different monitors.
After the fast ride back (still thrilling), we were helped out of our wetsuits, told where to rinse them, could have helped ourselves to coffee and biscuits and took a warm shower and went off home very happy.
I don't know how the prices compare but I would prefer to know that I was in good hands and have a good first experience of diving. I'm not sure I'd go again, but I'm very glad I did and I could not have had better people around me. My son definitely wants to go again - he has the bug! I highly reccomend this diving school and the excellent team - from the receptionist to the monitors and the guys who run the school - everyone was friendly and helpful.

We walked from our hotel and it is about 15 minutes to get to the bunker. It took about 15 minutes to get through each of the areas but definitely worth a quick visit.
Our local guide, Arnelle, gave us some great information about the area, when the were used as burial chambers as well as when the Germans used the area as sites during WWII.

We had a wonderful day on the Krog e Barz whilst staying in Brittany last summer. The Islands of Houat and Hoedic make a stunning destination but the best bit was the return leg when we were able to get the sails up. The boat is by no means luxurious but that is all part of the excitement and the two chaps running it were very friendly and hospitable and keen to involve people in actually doing things such as helming the boat. Their passion was infectious and they patiently answered every possible question. Definitely worth doing if you have the chance.

Come and discover the outstanding Golfe du Morbihan by kayaking or stand up paddle.
We went out for a pre-booked paddeling tour into the gold. Mixed group with different levels, good tour guide, well mantained equipment, in my eyes this is not for beginners die to wind, wves and potentially very strong current. For people with a bit of...MoreThank you so much for your nice message. We hope we see you back soon !

L'escarpolette is a quite unique place. The welcome dispensed by Michèle et Jean is superlative. Michèle's french cakes are top. Wines selected by Jean quite unique and reasonable. Each choice has a story to go along. Coffee is the house special treat. So many countries represented. You can walk away with a bag of your choice grounded as you with. Only fresh ground.
Last and not least the salon overlooks the sea with Islands hung far away. The furniture is a reflection of the owners. As well as the choice of pieces of art on sale : painting, sculptures, contemporary jewelry.
I stop here better to come and see.
