Distributed on a number of floors, this place has the usual stuff of museums. Some tribal jewelry and semiprecious stones. A tiger replica. A local friend told that ten years ago there were other hunting scenes. Horns of animals and coffins carved out of wood were also on display.

The houses are fully furnished giving the visitor a peek into the glorious past of the valiant highlanders. A few Mizo modern houses have also been constructed nearby to show the changes that have taken place in the Mizo way of life in keeping pace with the modern developments.

This is a 3 storeyed mausoleum built in the memory of Varte who died in a 2001 motor accident. This beautiful structure showcases an odd collection of her wardrobe and shoe collections.
The marble Fountain patio offers wonderful panoramic views of the valley. It is built by her husband Khawlhring who has since spent his entire savings and energy in this.

For the locals, it might be a good market if you know where is what. Otherwise, we got stuck in the vegetables part. Along with vegetables, they were selling pickled fish. Could not take the smell. I, an avid shopper, could only find two shawls worth buying, that too from a traditional shop and a Mall. A shop selling fruit trees also attracted me, but difficult to carry to Delhi. Could have purchased more shawls for gifts. Nice and traditional, but market is closed on Sundays.
