L’Unico Trattoria started life as a small BYO in 1994. Set in an Idyllic location on the waterfront at Trinity Beach about 20km north of Cairns, the word soon spread, and L’Unico quickly became a regular dining spot for tourists and locals alike. In 1997, after three years at Trinity Beach we moved just 400 metres further along the beachfront to take advantage of even better ocean views and new, larger premises complete with wood-fired pizza oven and cocktail bar.
Great spot by the ocean and so much more relaxing than the more touristy nearby Cairns with its hustle and bustle.
So easy to relax for a leisurely lunch , both inside and outdoor Seating, with a good range of seafood and pasta options, gluten free is offered although it does cost anther $3

The restaurant has poor lighting, little decoration and the ambience is disappointing. The place does takeaways and so people are coming in and out all the time. The waiter (who may have been the chef had a T-shirt and shorts and we initially thought he was a tourist.
That said, the menu is good, the food portions are large and the food is very good and tasty. If you are a Thai fan, well worth a visit - oh and you have to ask for chop sticks.

Ate here twice whilst in Trinity beach on holidays. Had lunch first time and it was really good choices, fast service and tasty food. Ate dinner here too and ordered the hand stretched pizza. It was delicious. The other two in our party ordered the steak with a lobster tail on the side. Both were impressed. We couldn’t believe the total price for the bill, it was so cheap. Great views overlooking Trinity beach too.

I reserved a table for two to honour my wife’s birthday and was assisted by the owner with some special requirements for my chronic back pain and a symbolic birthday desert .
We arrived as scheduled and were greeted by effervescent waitresses who went out of there way to assist us by detailing their extensive menu and todays specials board.
Our entree was fabulous and ample ,but the main course blew us away with both flavour and quantity.
My wife had a pasta dish ,which she gushed over but could not finish due to the size and my barramundi special was just too die for .
Thank you for your great service and friendly demure ,we will certainly be back and spread the love .

Tenderhooks is god thank god, the raw meat hanging before you went in was enough to turn anyone of their food. BUT it has been replaced with the pub meals which used to be served on the verandah. Very small menu with nothing really interesting on it. I had the double cooked pork belly but it was not nice at all. No crunchy bit on top just boiled pork which was mainly fat, served on a salad of cucumber, capsicum and onion. Very disappointed. Miss the nice views and would not go back again. Must say the service has improved heaps at all places inside.

Open air restaurant, overlooking ancient rain-forest on the shores of the great barrier reef. Knowledgeable service staff will tend to your every need whilst the kitchen brigade will supply some of the finest foods in the area to round off a truly special experience.
First impressions were how dark the restaurant was and how cavernous. Few diners, maybe low season. Staff very attentive and informative, and were locals (for a change, not back-packers). Main meals served in large bowls, strange. My meat dish was pleasant, but not memorable (I have already forgotten what I had). My partner had curry. Staff did not enquire as to how spicy one would have the curry, and the curry turned out to be very bland. No seasoning available on the table or even offered. Fortunately we took the locals option, which was good value if the meal had lived up to expectations.

Restaurant
This is a locals’ favorite well-hidden from the tourist section of Kuranda. Located in the “original” markets, you’ll need to weave through the incense-filled stalls and the Bob Marley music to find this hidden gem.
There’s a huge menu of savory crepes including ingredients such as Kangaroo prosciutto, macadamia pesto, Gorgonzola, and black truffle oil. There are also many indulgent sweet crepes too.
Take the time to find the Petit Cafe.

Situated on the Esplanade of Trinity Beach & boasting awe inspiring tropical views, Café Chianttis is an impressive lunch, dinner, coffee and cocktail destination. Enjoy exceptional Italian cuisine, fabulous wine and a view to "dine for!" of the Coral Sea at our waterfront restaurant. Chiantti's prides itself in traditional, home style Italian food and provides a warm family atmosphere. Chiantti's caters for everyone including the kids and larger groups. Vegetarian and gluten free options are also available.
Very cute restaurant off the Trinity beach (on the northern quiet part). Great service and fantastic seafood. Both calamari and scallops are top notch!

A little gem that needs work. Interesting location. The wait staff are lovely, however need more training. Water jug, no glasses. Mains served, no cutlery. All meals a good size, but taste different then you expect. No bad just different.
