Located right on the steps to the marina, BomDia attracts visiting yachtsmen like us. In the center of the Dutch lobster and shellfish industry it is obvious that most people go for the local produce.
The atmosphere is relaxed and the waitresses are friendly and helpful. I had a gorgeous plate with crab claws and mussels cooked in white wine. Getting the crabmeat out of the claws is a tedious job but taste and quantity is the reward. About the mussels I can only say that I never ever had better ones, cooked exactly to the point. French fries are better in Belgium than in Holland but who cares with such delightful seafood.
In Summer the Terrace offers a great view on the yachts and reservation is advised. Mussel lovers ,go there ! It's worth the trip and their wines are matching well with the molluscs.

We visited this restaurant for the first time and had lunch. Our choice for the " menu of the day " was a good decision. Lovely fresh fish dishes and good wine made the lunch a success. Service very friendly and not pushy and the price quality relation was absolutely perfect. What a pity that we have to drive 400 km's from Apeldoorn to have lunch, but we will come back !!!

Every year we make a trip to Zeeland to enjoy the Oosterscheldekreeft (=Zeeland lobster).
This year we visited the Oesterbeurs, a nice classic restaurant specialized in seafood.
The interior looks nice and (most of) the staff is friendly and attentive.
We took the 4 course lobster menu. €65 worth of great food!
We first got a small dish with a creme made of asparagus and a fried cod fish 'bitter' ball. The creme was perfect, the fish ball was dry and tasteless.
Next we found our first course, a salad with lobster and some great taste explosions (crispy bacon, Parmesan cheese, truffle mayonnaise and parsley pesto). My lobster was great but Wing's was a bit dry.
Next came our lobster bisque. Just unbelievable!! Best in class example of powerful lobster liquid!
Our main course, a grilled lobster each. Very well prepared, very taste, absolutely a big recommendation. It's always a bit of a struggle to finish the lobster (and completely empty every little piece) in a restaurant where it's better to eat with a fork and a knife. Too bad for the others, we came for the food, not for showing good manners!
In between main and desert we got a small refreshing dish (rhubarb with yogurt and tarragon). Well picked after quite a heavy meal thus far.
The lobster wine we chose paired very well with the different courses.
Deserts were really good as well.
Definitely a great place to go to enjoy a great local lobster meal!!

We drove down to this restaurant to experience the Zeeuwse Bolus as the kids really wanted to learn more about it. The shape of this typical, regional cake is often referred to as something else. I can assure you that they are delicious! Stop and try them, and add that to your list of cultural things you must do, when you visit Zeeland.

Like i mentioned in other critics before it is my believe that the Netherlands is a country that is underestimated on culinary level and deserves a place at the top of the world.
Tonight this restaurant gave me this confirmation again . I opted for a 8 course tasting menu and because i love to taste i asked for 2 extra courses from the carte with they did with pleasure and the exra i paid was very correct . Because i was alone i also asked to adapt the wines with the courses so i could drive safe home and the Somelier did this very well. Each course i tasted a different wine interesting to discover less more kown wines bud the perfect match with te menu and this was very educating for me.
The maitre D O is Mr Bono that seems the read the wishes of the dining guests individual
and besides rocking around the globe he will look for your comfort during your dining experience. The same will happen with the lady of the house the chef s wife who will welcome you at the beginning and with who you will discuss your culinary desires .
About the cuisine of the house well for me it was the reinvention of the classic cuisine but with a modern approach and the individual taste of the chef and that is the strong part of each dish the taste you will discover.
2 stars in my believe is modest for this level.
If you like good food good service well the region Zeeland in the Netherlands is a recommendation i like to share and you will have it in this place as also the restaurant The Kromme Watergang not far away. You will have Two cuisines different styles but top level and great dining experience !!!!

I had lunch in this restaurant and this was an excellent experience.
We started with probably the best oysters I ever had in any place in the world: 'Zeeuwse' 6 x 0. What a delight. But the best was yet to come. Freshly flown in Alaskan crab was cooked to perfection. This was the first time I have eaten this, and it was impressive in a every way. All of this was combined with a beautiful 'Grand Ardeche' of Louis Latour. Great service of the friendly owner plus good company made this lunch perfect. One to remember!

Went here for a beer and a snack in the late afternoon. The weather was just good enough to sit outside, and there were plenty of people on the Terrace. We eventually sat inside.
The place is old and untouched for 30+ years. The bar/restaurant don't really breath a lively or fun atmosphere.
The staff was friendly enough. We ordered beers and a fried calamari. The calamari however were not very nice...
The whole thing just felt a bit sad.
Not the best place to go.

We had the week menu: a starter, main course and dessert for 17 euro. All dishes were good.
People were friendly. Only a little bit confused sometimes. We had to ask the bill twice, as they had forgotten this. Also the wifi pasword we had to ask twice.
