Friendly and efficient staff. Short menu but good selection of fresh fish. Nice wine list. Popular with locals. Nice bustling atmosphere

We love to entertain in our wonderful atmospheric former post office. Our restaurant serves home-cooked, seasonal food which is based on the area’s loal traditions and international fine cooking. Our menu is alway up to date and we have a fantastic lavarock-burning grill for grilling meats of all kinds. The restaurant serves a comprehensive set of wines and drinks at favourable prices. You can choose from our à la carte menu or our fixed price, 3-course meal.
As the name of the restaurant ("Gewoon" means normal, ordinary, humdrum etc.) suggests, you should not expect anything extraordinary in any culinary sense.
The "special dish of the day" starter of escargots came right out of a (el-cheapo) tin and could only be rated as poor. The main dish of mussels with fries were OK, as well as the fine glass of Calvados for dessert.
Service was personal and friendly. The bill including mineral water came to 40 EUR.
I really had a pleasant evening throughout, but the food was just about average.

We visit the Overstag with 3 persons for lunch. As before the menu card has a great selection with specialities. All three of us selected a starter and main course.
As starter is the “bloedworst” a good choice. For the maincourse: een “hammetje” is recommendable. As dessert you will like: “boerenjongens with advocaat and ice cream”
The presentation and service is above standard.
At last the location with view at the sailing ships make your visit worthwhile.

The Lobster soup is not a good choice. The curry soup is delicius. The cod is good but the risotto that comes together needs more flavor.

At the port there are many small pubs/restaurants, so we choose randomly this one. The food was quickly served, fresh and delicious. Presentation was awesome as well. You must try the dessert because that are amazing, specially the brownie cake.
The environment is really charming because of the decoration. There are normal tables and high bar chair tables too with huge pillows :) they are awesome!
The menu is relatively short specially at lunch time, but it makes the confidence for the freshness.

Had an enjoyable stay at this, little hard to find, restaurant. Situated at a non-urban (industrial) area it is put closely towards the yachting harbor of the small town laying close to it. Entrance looked very nice with candles and a nice (was too cold though) outdoor Seating area. Indoors there were 2 groups of 8-12 people and some smaller tables occupied. We had a nice place in the corner and were serviced quite fast. Personnel was trained properly in how to handle guests and we had no complains there! Eventually we had no complains at all! The food from starter (deer carpaccio), from main (mixed meat-stew) to dessert ("Bastogne-parfait"), was all very well portioned and excellent of taste and quality. We observed also the larger groups and other guests and service was really good. They payed attention on how to handle the larger groups. Place is also advertising to be available for rent for weddings, bigger celebrations etc. We enjoyed our great night out and had an excellent meal!

You won't find a traditional Dutch menu at elMiguel. Choose from a variety of small dishes and do not be afraid to share! Our menu contains Oriental, Surinam, Caribbean, and European cuisine. Have a drink at the bar, a quick bite to eat or enjoy the (live) music on the weekends!
The food was delicius, principally thai srimp. The bier was good too. In a small place like Willemstad, it was a good suprise. To seat outside Is a good idea whe the sunset is arriving

This stylish old "skipper's house" adjacent to the harbour is one of the eye-catching buildings of the village of Numansdorp.
The cooked mussels were fairly fresh and came with slightly over fried potatoes. The dessert of dame blanch was OK as well as the espresso.
Service was very friendly overall. However, the time between the courses almost took an hour in a nearly-jammed restaurant. The bill including an excellent glass of Duvel (one of the finest beers available) came to 35 EUR.
Nice, but nothing to write home about.

Lunch in the middle of the traiteur shop. Cosy ambiance and various types of food, with surprising combinations.
