Not at all an expert on great food and/or wine, I just enjoy a friendly surrounding and good food and that is why this is a very good place to feed!

This is a very large "pan-Asian" restaurant with what seems like hundreds of dishes on the menu including descriptive items such as "spicy chicken" and "indonesian vegetarian". The English menu they have came with a Dutch menu so we could try to find the prices.
Service was extremely slow, servers seemed to ignore us for long periods of time, most importantly, the food had some reasonable dishes but some truly awful.
It is unclear why they have so many good TripAdvisor reviews. The service can be forgiven as an "off" night that could happen anywhere. The quality of the food can not be explained so easily.
I highly suggest avoiding "Asia". There are much better options within a block.

Wijchen is a small town, but this restaurant is a great find in the pretty center of the town. No English menu, but the staff helped us understand the menu and went out of their way to accommodate us. The food was very good and at a good value. The chef (also owner?) greeted some of the guests and came out occasionally to talk to the diners which was nice.
The steak was excellent as was a goat cheese salad, other dishes were also very good. Drinks very overpriced as they seem to be all over the Netherlands. We went to Markt19 (a few meters away) for dessert - amazing ice cream and chocolate.

Leave it all to us menu will give you surprise! And they can help you to select wine! As a foreigner, I'm very satisfied with what they served. And they offer English menu, which is really nice!

Sophisticated food in an informal environment which far exceeded our expectations. The reasonably priced 3-course fixed price menu was outstanding, and I enjoyed a generous plateful of tender beef carpaccio followed by a parchment parcel of wild mushrooms accompanying my fish. My companions dined on herb-crusted baked lamb, also declared delicious. Leave room for the Deserts, which are stylishly presented. Service was efficient and friendly. We will return!

For only a few euro you'll get a plate full of food. Like a croissant, homemade confiture, butter, coffee or tea with some sweets. We had this for a special offer €5.
The kids were provided with some toys but more nice was a special corner, the wall painted so they could draw and write with the colored chalk.
Book in advance because it was very busy with families who will stay and stay ;-)
The waitresses were very friendly, calm and patient.
In the center of Wijchen so also good for your shopping break.

Café Anneke, I understand, is an unusual one: it was founded by the customers. Just people who wanted to get together for a drink and a chat. About a 150 people funded and built the place. They wanted a pleasant environment to relax in, and it looks like they succeeded. I think that may explain why it was clearly the busiest establishment I saw in the centre of Wijchen.
We didn't have much time and only went for a drink and a snack, and both were fine. The freshly squeezed orange juice really was fresh, the hot chocolate was of good quality, and the apple cake was absolutely delicious (handmade by the local bakery, so I was informed). Unusual: looked like a muffin, with cake at the bottom, then a layer of apple, and a crumble top. Served with caramel sauce and whipped cream. Highly recommended!

The menu is excellent, with choices for all tastes. The service is fast and very welcoming. The inner dinning area is very comfortable and exceptionally clean. The outside dinning and table area is perfect for a meal or cold drink with an excellent view of the nearby castle

By entering the restaurant you will feel a good caring atmosphere. The owner has a great eye for any need you may have. The food was well taken care of, did not wait very long, and a good choice of menu. My only guess is that the wines deserve more attention.
Good coffee! I visited with a friend and child (3 years) and although there were 2 large groups present we were not disturbed by any loudness or what so ever.
Average bill, again wine per glass is too expensive in Holland I think. For every taste something on the menu, comfortable setting. Kids have to go outside to play, I saw no toys or coloring tools in the restaurant itself. NIce staff.
