Set in the old town of Baden this Restaurant with a historic background is a place for fresh food from local produce, wines from small producers and a cosy atmosphere where everyone should feel at home.
Located in the charming part of the old town. Quiet, nice views. Nice garden - great for a cool evening! Inside very nice decor, very charming - great for a casual dinner. Food is very good: as starter I had the ceviche - really excellent,...MoreIt is lovely you took the time to write a review of you stay, thank you! It is a nice feeling to know that our guests feel comfortable and enjoyed their time in the Trudelkeller. Katja Sedgwick and Team

The location is amazing... 360 view in Baden/Wettingen. The service is fantastic... even unusual friendly and responsive and flexible for Switzerland! Super! And the food is excellent... carrot soup & entracote steak were delicious!!!!! In summer also the view from outside is even better! Ensure to book a table for Fridays/Saturdays usually it is full!

My host took me to lunch at Linde for some authentic Swiss food. The food was really very good. I felt like someone's grandmother was cooking in back just for me. The staff was very friendly. The menus were in German so our hosts needed to interpret for us. We had 7 people and all enjoyed their meals and soups. Highly recommend and may look to stay at the hotel the next time I am in the area.

I'm from Texas and we do have a couple excellent restaurants here. I found in Wettingen AG, Switzerland one of the best restaurants ever. From the first step in to the step out. Everything excellent.
I hope to help people with it...guys make your decision and get there, asap!
See you.

Everything is in the title. Yes the food is really nice and wine are good. However one could expect that for the price (and the rather small portions). This is fine to me but the cold atmosphere with stressful waitress decrease drastically the enjoyment. Another star drop due to billing the tap water. It's not much but very irritating.

It is unusual: no starter, no main course. Take different small dishes as you like. Try and combine our "SCHNEUGGEREIEN" at your whim. Exactly the right thing for curious connoisseurs, gourmets and everybody who likes good food.
Range of small very well put together dishes produced in order to my request I started with crayfish cannelloni with Casarecce pasta with vegetables followed by entrecôte steak carrot and peas all put together very artistically with excellent ingredients prepared and put together in perfect small dishes. Fresh tasting and full of flavour great idea to have such a tapas like range of dishes but much more refined than tapas

Nice location and fine atmosphere don't make a good restaurant. Kitchen is somehow original and maybe we selected plates too similar (difference between venisson and pork was difficult to get: both covered with same sauce). We saw a chateubriant which seem interesting, but eat the tapas selectionmenu' as adviiced. What was absolutelz unacceptable is the loooong service: 2hours to get main course and this with a restaurant still half empty and a child with us. Total disorganzation betweeen service and kitchen made the place more pretentious than worth. They did not even had the thought of a discont o say sorry for terrible long service...

I guess there is no need to go to Zurich for excellent Chinese food. Located in the heart of Wettigen, a small town near Baden, China City is a very nice place to enjoy some good Chinese food.
I read the reviews on Tripadvidor, and since my son and I were in the viscinity apartment hunting, I thought we'd give the place a try. We were immediately greeted in German, and the lady switched to a perfect English when she noticed we weren't comfortable with German yet. Not a requirement, since we are in German speaking Switzerland, but a nice touch. We sat on their Terrace and our drink order was taken immediately. A couple minutes later, we had drinks in front of us, and English menus in our hands. Again, a nice touch.
I started with a Szechuan soup and my son the veggy spring rolls. The soup was delicious. Not too thick and starchy, as it can be in many places, and very flaroful. I didn't try the rolls, but my son seemed to be quite happy with them.
We followed with Kung Pao beef for me and a version of Sweet & Sour chicekn for my son. He chose fried rice, and plain white rice for me. The dishes were both great. Not super spicy for me, but enough to earn the little spicy logo next to the dish, and also not too much to kill the flavor. The S&S chicken was also very good and tender.
Overall, a great place to have Chinese food. I wanted to try other things, but it will have to wait until I most likely return. A bit pricey, but that's to be expected for food in Switzerland. Dinner for 2 with appetizers and drinks will set you back over CH100. But the quality of the food and service is most definitely worth it! Enjoy!

We enjoyed pre-dinner as well as after-dinner drinks in the bar area which provides a cosy atmosphere. Service was very friendly, efficient and good fun. Nicely located in the old part of town.
